Out the two, for some reason, probably my tiny brain cell, the SMJY seemed to be a gnats dick better You don't get the cloned Kayfun box with the SMJY or the instruction sheet
The next two I get will be the SMJY version. Hold off on that order to see if Focal get the SXK rose in That way I can swap out my last three kangers in one hit

That way I can swap out my last three kangers in one hit I've got to say (apart from my ongoing dripper service) I'm getting great results from my Subtanks with the RBA v2. They are beating my Kayfun monsters for reliability.

My turning point with the subtanks is the black coating on mine Bath in denture tabs and the paint bubbled up Then scraped off as though paint stripper had been used

The only way to judge anything "best ever" is if you've tried every tank made. There are hundreds of MTL tanks.

Is that a vote for stainless steel? Maybe Kanger need to stop painting stuff. Looks like a storm trooper one is out the window then.

Really sorry to hear it's giving you trouble stevef . I waited a few weeks this time before posting to make sure it was consistantly good and on more than one tank as well. The first time I vaped the v5 I was so pleased with the build experience and how well it vaped that I had the urge to post immediately, but this time I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. I re-wick every two days and rebuild every 14 days on average, now with 3 tanks, and time and time again they are all performing as well as the first time. I use a 3mm-D coil, sat as close to the airhole as possible for flavour and airflow restriction, and vape at low watts (9-12w), with two full turns of the juice flow (sometimes two and a quarter - I like the logo facing me), so a prime candidate for leaking, but I never get any. With the Mini v3 I occasionaly had to close off the juice flow and give it a blow through into a tissue to clear out a little bit of gurgling/flooding, but not so with the v5 as yet. On my second two tanks I did swap out the build deck o-rings for fresh ones from the pack. Not sure why really, but as I had completely stripped the tank down for cleaning I just thought I would do it. Air flow and juice flow are smooth as silk on all 3. Perhaps you have dodgy o-rings? Do you lube those two o-rings (under the build deck) I mentioned in a previous post when you re-wick? This was suggested by Svoe themselves on their website as it aids with smooth juice flow control and I'm guessing also sealing for pressure. I used to just use ejuice to do it, but now use some plain VG I put in a little juice bottle. Out of interest, when you remove the build deck from the tank, and look down at the coil/wick from above, can you see a big "SXK" etched onto the top of the air flow control plate? Yes it has SXK etched into the base. I've had it for a few weeks.....I changed the O-rings straight out of the box, too many niggles that turned out to be caused by poor or dry assembly on previous atties. My P3 commited suicide by jumping off the desk after 4 toots and the glass broke. It worked fine with the SS tank but since the spare glasses turned up its been tempermental. Lighter and easier to adjust but annoying. I found the upper deck o-ring swelled up like a balloon and replaced it with another spare. Don't put my deck in dry Its a really nice vape, flavour is great, airflow is spot on for me at 3 or 4 but I don't like the AFC ring. Still an SXK clone its better pound for pound than for example a Subtank but its not £90 worth. I'm still waiting to eat my words on the K5 being aimed at the trending market rather than solving the challenges of the finicky early versions.

Nice video lee thanks for sharing. He goes into a lot of detail and seems pretty impartial, and I'd say it's perfect for someone thinking of buying one. I learnt a couple of things as well, not least about the cut on the posts to tuck your wire ends into. Good stuff.

FT do the sxk versions without the logo etched The logo in the tank helps you. If you don't close the flow valve when you refill, you end up with a hand, mod and chair covered in liquid As I just found out If you refill the correct way, close the juice valve, top off, refill, top on, open two turns No chair, hand, mod and mountain of tissues used The logo on either the drip tip or chamber help you do the two turns I'm a muppet

I've got this one and it's good, didn't want a tank too tall so this suited fine, the threading on it is really good and I am very pleased with it.

I stumbled across a good wicking guide yesterday with photo's, so posting it here for anyone who might find it useful: www.indianvapers.com/forum/index.php?topic=2602.0The length of wick, trimming technique and o-ring lubrication tips are spot on and it's all easy to follow with the photos. But, he uses a lot of wick (1cm strip for 3.0d) compared to me and I was dubious at first, but I followed his guide for science and that amount of wick actually works really well (only tested at low watts). The detailed wicking guide is at the end of his review. It's a good in depth review too for anyone interested in buying a K5. Edited to add: I disagree with him that for 50/50 liquids you should only open the juice flow control a maximum of one to one and a half turns. I open mine to the Svoe' recommended 2 full turns without any issue at all and as long as you have wicked it correctly and made sure no strands of wick are overhanging the air hole it's fine (especially with the amount of wick he uses in the coil - it soaks the juice up and holds it nicely). Also, I place my coil only 1mm over the airhole to reduce the airflow, so anywhere from 1mm to 3mm is fine depending on your personal preference for airflow vs flavour. Otherwise, top guide.
