I do love the Kayfun v5, not sure if it's the best but along with the Nautilus(+mini & 2) and Kabuki part of my main go to mtl tanks. What I love about the KF 5 is it's versatility. You can stick in a 0.5 ohm coil and have a restricted lung hit and it will take any ratio of vg/pg. Good review video here and soon will be trying the others.

I've just ordered one of these. Had two authentics - let them go because I was scared to take them out. Had a brief sojourn with the Rose 3, but missed the KF5. My girlfriend had a similar thing with the V3 mini - had two unnamed clones, few little niggles with them. Bought her an SXK last month - amazing quality! Got a Billet Box clone recently, SXK are producing amazing stuff at the moment

Has anyone done a comparison between the V3 mini PLUS and the Kayfun V5. I like a tightish MTL draw and this has put me off the K5 even though you can get the air reducing adaptor from Creme de Vape

Has anyone done a comparison between the V3 mini PLUS and the Kayfun V5. I like a tightish MTL draw and this has put me off the K5 even though you can get the air reducing adaptor from Creme de Vape The mini is an exceptional MTL vape, totally tuneable. The KF5, out of the box, is a restricted lung hit. I have the reducers, and use reducers in the Cthulhu MTL. For a good MTL, it's more the increase in air velocity than the the reduction in volume that makes them work - so reducers do work. So I have high hopes when my latest KF5 turns up

I've changed my views somewhat on these over the past few months since starting this thread. For me the KF Mini v3 is the best pure MTL vape out of the two, let down only by the smaller tank size, build deck screws/wire issue (often hard to pin the wire down) and an annoyingly fiddly airflow control. A bit of patience though and once you have the airflow dialed in and the coil installed, it's 9/10 for flavour and MTL at low watts. I cannot tell the SXK and genuine tank apart. I have five v3's in rotation, mostly with tobacco's.
The KF v5 is also a great tank (of course), but definitely has more air throughput, so more suited for those who might want to vape at higher watts or restricted lung hit at max setting. I have tried the restrictor's but they don't do it for me - they make it too tight the other way and the vapour seems too "thin" and "mist" like (why they never included a larger Mini v3 size restrictor in the pack I'll never know). That's just me though. The SXK version seems to have a slightly reduced airflow compared to the genuine or SJMY verions, which suits me better, so I have three SXK v5's in rotation and the others are stored for spares.
If you want a dedicated low watt MTL tank for flavour then get the Mini v3 IMO, but if you are looking for something with more versatility then get the KF v5. I know some will disagree with my comments and a lot of this is subjective, but that's my thoughts after several months considerable use of both anyway. Somewhat different to my original post for sure.
I am hoping Svoe will now put more effort into improving the airflow control and build deck on the Mini v3 now that the TPD looms. Fingers crossed.
