My husband is going back to the UK tomorrow with hand luggage, but will be returning home with a suitcase containing 2 x 5 litre bottles of VG + 2-300ml of concentrates. I know (obviously) that VG is non-toxic but if he is stopped at customs and grilled about it what else (other than e-cigs) can he say that amount of VG is going to be used for? He will say it's for the wife, but I'm just wondering if he can say something like it's being used for this or that reason. I don't want it all to be taken off him, it is sooooo damn hard to get the stuff to this island which is why I've ordered so much for him to bring back. Any suggestions would be most appreciated

He could say the VG is moisturiser for you, it is used quite widely in moisturisers and soap and suchlike.
The flavourings are easy, they are for baking and cake making.

These can be downloaded from the net HTH Cheers Dave

Haha, rather a lot of moisturiser I get through to bring back 10 litres normal bottles of moisturisers are only a couple hundred mls Is there something like aromatherapy or the like that it can be used for, you know some sort of massage thingy, or would the VG be too sticky and messy for that sort of thing

Nope it can be used for that as well, to be honest there are multiple and I mean multiple uses for VG, it is such a versatile ingredient for anything really, adds sweetness, adds thickness, adds softness etc etc. And to be fair if you had a skin complaint and the only thing you could use is VG then 10 litres isn't actually going to last you that long if you have to slather it on every day, day in day out!

Also be aware of your poor hubby's baggage weight allowance toots , 2X5L, of VG, is likely to be about 13kg ... excess baggage probably isn't cheap per kilo over.

IIRC it's used as the basis for a lot of cosmetics. He could spin a yarn about his wife having sensitive skin and having to make her own anti-wrinkle creams or whatever...

If it's in the hold toots Tish, he's unlikely to get stopped, and if he does, the above answers are enough. It's not toxic, so he needs to give no reason for carrying it. It's hardly heroin!!!!! Chill Or you could tell him to say "I helps with a certain sexual activity". That'll shut them up

His allowance is 20kg Postmodern Smoking so there's no worries about excess baggage, I had already done a rough calculation to make sure it wasn't too heavy.

Plus I've only got around 100ml left now so I am panicking that I won't have any if he can't get it home to me

Ok, I think I get it now. I'll just get him to say something like "my wife suffers with some sort of skin complaint and she uses this stuff to ease it". That should suffice I reckon. They might guess it's used for e-cigs though when they see a lot of the concentrates are from T-Juice, that might just give the game away

VG is also great as a cleaner... have you never spilt a drop or two on your desk and then wiped it off, gives a lovely shine to laminate surfaces
