What are the laws in your country for making nic free ejuice ? If it is legal to do so then i would just come clean to customs. Its not as if he is trying to smuggle in nic.

I find it hard to imagine that you are unable to purchase/order in VG from any pharmacy in Tenerife or that 10,000 ml of any liquid on a plane is the smart thing to do! -especially when you take into account that in the past it was the main ingredient in liquid explosives-

You can get it in Spain but 1 litre costs 45.00 euros to ship it over which is ridiculous, then you probably have got customs charges on top of that as well I had 2 litres shipped over from the UK once and that cost me £34.00 in shipping charges, so I thought if hubby comes back with a case he can bring me back a good large quantity for the cost of a suitcase on a plane at 35.00 euros and that would be ideal. If it is labelled up properly as Vegetable Glycerin, food grade or pharmacy grade whatever then it should be fine, I'm just panicking I suppose, that's all You lot over there don't realise how good you've got it when it comes to e-cig gear.

I don't have a clue what the laws are, we can buy e-juice containing nicotine at the moment, until the draconian regs of the Spanish TPD kicks in I suppose. We are having a transitional period before the TPD regs kick in, but I don't know how we will stand once they do come into effect. Apparently only pharmacies in the Canary Islands will be allowed to stock any e-cig related gear, but I have spoken to many pharmacies and they say they do NOT intend to stock any e-cig gear whatsoever, so where that will leave the vapers on the islands I just don't know. It is worrying.

He could say the VG is moisturiser for you, it is used quite widely in moisturisers and soap and suchlike. The flavourings are easy, they are for baking and cake making. Haha, rather a lot of moisturiser I get through to bring back 10 litres normal bottles of moisturisers are only a couple hundred mls Is there something like aromatherapy or the like that it can be used for, you know some sort of massage thingy, or would the VG be too sticky and messy for that sort of thing I think I'd watch out with that amount or they might think your opening a "massage parlour"

Being used to how things are done in the UK, don't and wont compare to the Spanish ways
They love paper work, pen pushing and making ways of making money for doing nothing
If someone registers a patent on a product, they can charge anyone selling the product what they want Even manufacturers can fall fowl of that one

It's widely used in cough medicine? And doesn't it get used in cake icing?

-especially when you take into account that in the past it was the main ingredient in liquid explosives- Yeah this would be my worry with the nightmare that is air travel atm. If you get stopped with it you can expect some intense questioning and maybe a delay while it is chemically tested. *Make sure that it correctly labelled and that you have the required paperwork with it.*

*-SARIN-* - Do you think the same problems could occur at an airport if you were carrying DIY eliquid made at home? (i.e. not labelled) - Would it then be better in hand luggage or hold luggage?

At the volume that OP is describing then hand luggage isn't an option, it would have to go in the hold. Without the required signage and paperwork i would suspect that it would be refused loading.

Also used for suppositories and that might shut any customs officer up.

VG is also great as a cleaner... have you never spilt a drop or two on your desk and then wiped it off, gives a lovely shine to laminate surfaces It doesn't clean Q, it just makes the dirt shiny!

So what happened in the end - did hubby get through or are they still waterboarding him in the airport dungeons? He's due to fly back home tomorrow - am keeping my fingers crossed here Apparently someone told me people have been known to bring over pots of paint from the UK, so if they can get through with paint hopefully VG will also get through. I've only got about 100ml left of VG if he don't get it home so I'll be pulling my hair out if I've got to get some ordered and delivered by post from the UK, not to mention the money I would have lost as well
