Freeze it in an ice cube tray then bag it, you only need to take out and that what you need. Really?!!! Will that work ok? What a brilliant idea

I also asked hubby to get me some garden mint sauce as I haven't been able to get any over here for yonks - guess what - he only brought over 12 jars of the stuff one jar lasts me about a year so I've got around 12 years worth of the stuff. Only problem is the use by date on these are 2018 Anyway, the main thing is hubby home safe & sound, VG & mint sauce really just an added bonus. Didn't realise that the TPD was going to affect mint sauce as well as the nicbase!!! Maybe you need to find a 'mint sauce lovers' forum to find out how best to store to exceed it's shelf life... either that or time to invest in a flock of sheep/lambs!

You can freeze home made toots so might be worth a shot as once opened it usually needs to be consumed within a month or so the guidelines say.

Freeze it in an ice cube tray then bag it, you only need to take out and that what you need. Unlikely, nicotine freezes at around -80 deg Celsius. 100% VG will freeze at +17 degrees, but the freezing point lowers to -23 at 50%, add the nicotine and it won't freeze until at least -65, especially if there's PG in there as well. Have you ever managed to find somewhere cold enough to freeze e-liquid?Nevermind, i should have read the rest of the thread

Yay for the VG (unless you're being staked out by the local SWAT team).
Can you not sell on some of the mint sauce (at vast profit, natch) to other expats?

If it's mint sauce in vinegar toots, it'll keep for donkey's years if unopened. Vinegar is a preservative, and pickling in vinegar started out as a way to preserve food for winter/spring, when crops weren't there, and for bad harvest years. In fact most sauces started out that way too. And jam (used to be called Preserve/Conserve) keeps for the same reason, as sugar does the same. Salt is another preservative, so, if all three are present in the mint sauce, it'll still be fine well after mankind ceases to exist..... Once opened, anything that gets in the jar might contaminate the surface (including air), but if you remove the offending substance, what's left is fine. Glad you got your VG Roly home safely.

tim beat me to it toots, as long as it's in vinegar it will keep for years unopened and kept in a cool dark place. It's only when it's opened that it starts to deteriorate. As for the Mint Sauce, get importing industrial quantities of lamb to eat it with!!

So glad to hear that your husband and VG are home, with added bonus on 12 jars of mint sauce This reminds me of a time in my childhood when my dad ordered 6 cheese whizz jars and 6 bovril jars. We lived abroad and everything came by sea, you couldn't buy stuff even if you wanted and that included clothes and furniture and the ship came in every three months. My poor mum ordered cushions once and was sent vivid orange, which clashed alarmingly with our purple moquette sofa..... Alas my dad's order wasn't for individual jars...it was per pallet! My abiding memory of childhood was this pallet stack taller than I in corner of our kitchen and anyone calling and leaving was gifted some! Amazingly I still love both
