Makes you wonder if positive research has been hidden in the past.  I wonder if the rate of dementia increase is related to the reduction in smoking rates?  Makes you wonder what has been suppressed.

I agree the Daily Fail is not renown for truthful reporting, or for that matter positive reporting about ecigs.  This isn't the Daily Fail saying that nicotine may have health benefits, it's Dr Ursula Winzer-Serhan, from Texas A&M University.  Not sure who she is, but until I know otherwise I'll put her in the good guy camp as an honest scientist. She must be if she is willing to go against the majority of the anti brigade who can't even bring themselves to speak the word nicotine, without saying a few hail mary's.  She may of course be paid by BT.    Oh what a world we live in.

There was some talk last year that they (the medical profession) were experimenting with Nicotine and hoping to use it instead of Morphine as an intravenous pain killer.
Apparently it would do the same job but not have the side effects that Morphine is renowned for.

Me thinks that Nicotine has a great many other uses than the one we are more familiar with.
