Is it true - no more 72mg nic?

Hi guys,


Sorry I've been away for a little while (life stuff)

But I'm back now and been looking to upgrade my kit once again and also replenish my nic and concentrate stock.


I noticed on a few sites that they're now saying they won't be selling 72mg nicotine after May 2017 due to legislation or something,  is this correct and why is that?

amygx , The EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) has been enacted into UK law, which also includes e-cigarettes and e-liquid. One of it's restrictions is that nicotine containing liquids can only be sold in a maximum strength of 20mg/ml and bottle size not exceeding 10ml.
As of 20th November 2016 non compliant products already in the supply chain (subject to stock availability) can still be sold up until 20th May 2017, after which they can not.
Now is the time to grab some 72mg/ml nicotine for the freezer and long term storage, because soon you won't be able to get it at all.

EU Tobacco Products Directive: max nic will be 20mg - bottle sizing (max 10ml) becomes effective from 20/11 although current stock at that date can still be sold until it runs out or until May 2017, some juice makers have already become TPD compliant or have shut up shop

I find this quite worrying as there are a lot of members who no longer contribute regularly and may not be aware of the developments with the F*****g TPD. Also I looked in to my local B&M on Monday and no posters or signs anywhere though they are aware of the changes. God help us all come 20th Nov and May next year. There's an awful lot of indifference to overcome. DEATH TO THE TPD.

I'm now on zero nicotine but I've got around 750ml of 75mg nicotine in my freezer which I can't do anything with now. Such a shame that I won't be able to get this nic to anyone in the UK who would most likely really appreciate it in the future

So this means Vape-ageddon is upon us?, the prophecy foretold by he who took the first vape is coming to pass.

I'm going to have to stock up..and FAST! I'm assuming concentrates won't be affected by this (stupidness, idioticness, mindlessness) TPD so no need to panic on those yet.

MODS aren't affected? I'll still be able to buy big tanks etc in the future?

Tanks unfortunately will be restricted to 2ml max, though hopefully the manufacturers will find cunning workarounds with spares etc.

Concentrates, plain PG & plain VG not affected amygx so no need to panic on those.

Mods aren't affected, but tanks are (max 2ml and MHRA registered/tested by the importer). There may be a work around, but yet to see (i.e. 2ml tank supplied with spare larger tube).

It is also unclear how they'll be able to police personal imports from China.

I don't think they will be able to and as a lot of the Chinese vendors are already declaring Vape equipment as Toys, tools, electronics etc. hopefully we will be OK.

In theory you have till May 2017 to purchase/stock up ----however the chances are many items/liquids will sell out well before the cut off date.

A couple already have, got 2 EVO tanks on their way to me with 4ml adaptors/tanks and there is the 5ml fat boy tank for the Cleito
