Do any of you use a machine or other device for mixing your juices?
I was at my sisters house last night and she had one of these nail polish shaking machines in her bedroom and I thought "You know what, that may be pretty handy for mixing my liquids"
I thought I would look around and it costs about £25 and also investigating other ways people mix their juices and some are quite interesting like perhaps this video I found on making your own DIY magnetic stirrer

I do use a milk frother to mix mine but it does not help with steeping IMHO, i just like to know the different concentrates are mixed as well as they can be. I do think a lot of it is in the mind though as i have just thrown some in a bottle and shook it about then left for a couple of mths and it all came out the same.

I read somewhere on one of the US forums that the latest thinking is over stirring the mixture causes the flavour to tail off earlier due to more oxygen being introduced. From practice i did notice a lot of my mixes becoming bland after a while, especially with the likes of Strawberry, i was using a blender at the time which really mixed things up, but have since switched back to just shaking the mix, and it has made a good difference to the flavour.

Yes my mate made me a decent magnet stirrer and it was quite hard to get a vortex in a litre of max vg but he did it. TBH I feel a bit guilty now though as I just shake now and then and like to steep all mine for 8 weeks as it is max vg. I agree with @broadblaster that time is the winner. Things just get richer, smoother and more flavoursome. I think car147 you were one of the people who helped me when I started mixing. Best thing ever

I guess if you're making huge volumes of one flavour at a time, then it's probably an advantage to have some mechanical means of ensuring all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Other than that, for the average home mixer I see no benefit to any of these wonder gizmo's for mixing . . . . hands, leaving some ' shaking ' room in a bottle, time and patience suit me and my tastes just fine! ( Said in my best grumpy old woman voice. )

I agree Perpetua I make 450ml a time in 500ml bottles. A leisurely shake, time and patience is all good juice needs to aspire

Love the gizmos - the magnetic stirrer is a load of fun. Don't think they do anything that shaking a bottle doesn't, but I almost wish they did....

Yeah i do, I use a magnetic stirrer with hotplate on its lowest setting, but only once in a blue moon when I get a boss shot from flavour boss because its 500ml or 1ltr. Anything less than that I just mix in a bottle & give it a shake once a week

Surely it's not 500ml of concentrate is it?
