How much would it cost for a small one ? ukric That would be starting point. If consensus is for a smaller one, once we know cost, then a fund raising list is the next step. Tagging @spikeyfridge for any input/help.

You need to mail www.marquees.com and get a price list. Last years was £900 odd with floor, furniture and carpet. They are a good, reliable company

Another glitch is that the last two years we've borrowed dave's tea urn, has he said he's coming? and a community tent is a bit defunct without a cuppa! If we decide against it then Jon VapingBad does have a big awning over in the camping section where AAeC tend to gather so we would still have a central point that the forum banner could be roped to it.... The awning got ripped last year (just where a guy line attaches), I intend to fix it, but can't absolutely promise.

Anyway, yes, contact marquees.com and speak to Steph, inform her that you're enquiring for the AAEC social marquee and she'll get some prices for you

You'd get away with a couple less round tables and maybe 15/20 chairs?

I think we might struggle to get £880 together I'm happy to donate a little more, but will people be happy to chip in more than £20? I don't have accounts on POTV or UKV, but wasn't there talk of seeing if we could share a marquee? I'd be more than happy to donate towards it if that's the route we end up going down, but it would look a little dodgy if I rocked up there and asked about that sort of thing straight away. Is there anyone who uses the other forums who might be able to ask?
