Get a pledge list started now for a couple of weeks .. who wil donate however much and that will give you an idea of funding for it. Be prepared to nag and cajole people to pay when the time comes (that's the hardest bit). You have to be firm but fair.
If the total pledged is well short of hire price, shelve the marquee and hijack potv tent !!!

How long should it take to get the emailed tent ticket ukric ? I purchased (posh word ) it four weeks ago.

If its like last year I'm sure it was immediate tim have you checked your spam folders? as I think its an automatic email on purchase

I notice that this year a camping ticket is £10 for two persons - bit of a sod when loads of us camp singly... there's no room in my poxy tent for another person

I've just purchased my vapefest camping ticket (finally) being really mean I waited until a Friday and paid via my barclaycard as its 'no fee Friday' so I saved £2

Also, after joking about it being BOGOF my local pal wants to come! She's an occasional vaper and mother of three primary aged kids so recons a camping/drinking weekend away <<from them>>sounds marvelous so she's joining me...

I told her you're all lovely people (which you are) and we wont beat her up if she hides behind the bike-shed and has a smoke (okay, cow sheds ) but she'd like to quit so this might be the push she needs she's an excellent drinker and thats good!

Go back and edit it then!!!

If you go to edit the post with the picture, and switch between Preview and BBcode tabs you should see something like this (you may have to switch between the tabs a couple of times until img style max width with a percentage comes up):
 

Reduce the percentage of screen width that the picture takes up to suit your liking ... Preview and when happy save changes.

Lovely Gill - you will, as she sure can drink!!   but then so would I if my three kids were age of hers!
Thankfully as time goes on you naturally forget the level of stress kids  put you through, mine drove me half mental, I suspect its in natures interest to rose tint the parenting....

I've been promising her a girlie weekend away for years but I think she was hoping for 5* spa weekend?................  but vapefest will have to do for now!

I'm positive between us we'll give your friend a memorable weekend Pep, possibly for the wrong reasons but you can't have it all ways!

Oh! I already warned her about you......JOKE!!! I'm sure I did mention the wheelbarrow home? and you and our scottish Gill lying in a gutter   she's game!

She said she's fed up of her fella getting xmas nights out and concerts with the lads that she's happy enough camping rough on a random field with strangers   As I say, you aren't strangers for more than half an hour! I remember my 1st vapefest and fears that I'd feel uncomfortable with people I didn't know?.........10 minutes max and that fear is abated!

I might finally pop my vf cherry

Checked the travel time and its about 4hrs each way. Bit of a long drive for one day
Been pricing up tenting it
Checking what kit managed to make it back when we returned to the uk, what still works
Found three stoves, two lanterns, a 58 pattern bag, an artic bag and a camp bed so far and an all weather pop up gazebo that would fill the boot on my little car

No idea what to expect at vf
