It is jtc, I still experiment and it nice to ring the changes now and again, but keep coming back to that 3x twisted 0.2 mm Ni dual build.

OMG Dual coils 7 spaced wraps of 0.3 triple twisted ss on a 3mm ID at 0.19ohm Had a device update and using this in TC 100w and 420f Early days but it's banging in the first 10 minutes. Time will tell but so far thus is an amazing vape. Cheers guys

The only I would say is that it does twist into quite a thin wire. As it seems to be working well in TC and I have some sv 0.5mm, I think I'll try twisting some of that later (after the pantomime). I think that will make a better stronger, thicker coil

Well the 0.5mm was too thick for a triple and my mods didn't like it at all lol. I went back to the 0.3 but it didn't take long before I was back on me kanthal fused clapton. I have changed the way I clean my coils up though in that I don't put them under water while they are hot. I'm hoping this will preserve them for longer before rust starts appearing. I'm now thinking though would it be better to use hot water and would that minimise the oxidisation process?

I would go thinner, consider only the wire in the middle of clapton's heats, with twisted it all heats and 3x twisted 0.2 mm is handles a lot of power, maybe parallel 3x0.2 would be more clapton like.

It just didn't seem to produce the same saturated vaper that I'm used to. It wasn't bad but not quite as good as the Geekvape fused clapton.I think I'm at my happy point tbh but it was worth a try

Just out of curiosity I made some triple twisted 0.3 out of Kanthal. It suffered the same slow ramp, slow cool that I find with Kanthal fused claptons. I make my fused claptons with 28g Ni80, but think the wrap needs to be Ni80 or stainless. But still, triple twisted is close enough for me, with a lot less labour. Particularly with the way I vape, lowish wattage, cool, dense restricted...
