Rayon? Never tried it. But I saw a long discussion of a fairly cheap and easy to obtain source of good quality rayon suitable for Vape wicks a while ago. Some brands of Tampons (yep!) are made from pure high quality rayon. Not the outer wrapping, just the inner absorbent section. I've never seen the stuff but apparently it's fairly simple to remove the cover then unwrap/unroll the rayon and split it up for wicking. I saw the discussion on an Oz Vaping site: Oz Forum LinkBut watch out for the RIGHT brand/type ... In OZ, the specific brand/Type is given here: Oz forum link I'm guessing there must be something similar there in the UK. * Perpetua I hope it's OK to cross link to a foreign forum but if not please kill the links. Surely that only works for a period?

I tried celucotton last year, it was a refreshing change to organic cotton. Some juices seemed to taste better, tank wicks seemed to last longer. I didn't like it in drippers, no matter how they were wicked it was quite crackly and just didn't seem to be giving the same flavour as cotton. Also I didn't like the amount of loose fibre that came off it when it was cut. At the time I was quite taken by rayon and would have brought more but there was almost nowhere to buy it from in more than one meter lengths. This is what I'm finding, albeit only tried in the Magma so far. It def. wicks better & has n't yet clogged (would've had to re-wick by now with cotton...) Also, as part of the experiment, I kept vaping 'till the flavour dropped off to 'whoops, better re-drip' level....wick was bone-white! I've just got into Squonking but will be digging out the Avocado next for a further play! The problem's gonna be that 'shiney-itus' may occur now that I don't have to limit Myself to Tanks & Drippers that are suitable for vertical coils......bloody hell, can't win can I?!!!

I've just gone a bit crazy on using my first batch of rayon cellucotton - put it in 3 drippers and 3 tanks - at first I though the flavour and wicking was better, but am now finding that it maybe does not perform well for as long as cotton. Subjectively my sense is that it would not clog up as quickly as cotton with coil gunking liquids. The jury is still out for me overall, though.
