So... there appears to be quite a few mech squonkers on here.
Closest ive come to mech is the pico squeeze. Ive always been a little concious of safety hence why i never went the mech route.
Can anyone convince me to buy a mech?
All yours....

Build within your batteries parameters, don't take any risks. Simple as that. The only difference is that you learn where your sweet spot lies in terms of voltage. Don't get me wrong I use a pico for work most days but there's something about the simplicity of a mech that is perfect.

As said above really. Brush up on ohms law or use steam engine to calculate a safe build and experiment. The fun bit is getting used to knowing when to change batteries so you don't run them too low. Chances are the vape will be so weak you'll change it before it gets to that point anyway.
Other than that you'll have a device that's basically bullet proof as there's no electonics to go wrong.
Oh and one more thing...... Make sure you keep your contacts clean

Getchaself one of these, thebishman. £26.15 on Fastech. Looks great, 10ml bottle, I really like the atty, and it's a great vape. Of course, read the stuff about battery safety on the forum before you start....

For me: SImplicity of design No relying on chipsets and boards I like the controlling the vape through the build, took me awhile to get the hang, but I like to learn Mechs look good and are cheap! (Feed that shinyitus!) It gives a different vape to a regulated mod, more gradual ramp up, and the vape changes as the power goes down, some don't like this, I do. All part of the rich and varied vaping experience!

Greets fellow bottom feeders!
My squonker is a simple mech REO. It has a "hotspring" for battery/short protection. There is never a doubt, if the battery is charged...it just works. Always. Juice spills, dropped in the bath, left outside in the rain...no problem. Reo's and Mechs in general, have been bullet proof for me.
Cheers I

The other thing is size. My runt is far smaller than any regulated mod could ever dream of being

I'm also fascinated by how mech mod makers solve the design issues - or fail to. Love the way the whole of the magnetic top section comes off on the Coppervape - though was a bit of a surprise at first - thought that they had forgotten to screw it down!

Regulated temp control for me, I want to know that every time I hit that fire button I'm gonna get the same experience Can't be doing with battery fade And if I fancy a little more punch for a couple of puffs then I turn it up a bit When the vape gets weak then I'm either out of juice or the battery needs changing.

I have both types, but the one i use most of the time is the Mech. The Vt Inbox is excellent, works great and loads of power, but its about 3 or 4 times heavier than my Mech, and a bit bigger...Its got plenty of power but most of my vaping is now done at no more than 15 watts, if that!.. So i dont need lots of power, i just need a simple device that works when i press the button, and the mech does that. I dont worry about battery level or anything like that, i get a great vape from it and i get full power from the battery. When the vape drops a little, i change the battery, just as you need to do with a regulated mod.
Nope, mechs for squonking all the way.

I have one of each, but prefer regulated. I have enough of a problem remembering to squish my juice bottle without working out power and ohms! << Mokooo dna40 Being a dna40 its a reasonable size, which is absolutely fine as long as my atty isn't too tall. I really like this format as I use a billet box most of the day and prefer all the guts inside my mods! I've fitted the bottom feed pin onto my Hastur v2 and its working a treat, if a little too airy for all day use so I'll be leaving it set up for occasional lung vapes. Bish is very kindly sending me a mtl style b/f atty, he's a gem!

In the mech vs regulated Squonker debate I'm on the side of..... both, and lots of them! (not sitting on the fence but dancing on it!)
