Hi. Am thinking about buying the Ego Tank Starter Kit with the 1100mAh battery size. Can anybody tell me the difference between an atomiser and a cartomiser? Is it best to get the Ego Tank and refill the cartridges myself?? With my old 901 I knew what I was doing but with Ego I've not even seen a "real" one let alone tried one All help appreciated and thanks in advance

Maybe it's a virus? Gets about a bit.

A cartomizer is a tank and heating coil all in one unit There are pro's and cons in both designs mate, it would help to know hwat you have already and how much you vape already?

Beginner so open to correction. I decided on a cartomiser kit as I'd been refilling the carts I got with my starter kit, it was easy, and they were convenient. But he included an atomiser as well - as far as I can see all the basics - batteries etc are the same, it's not a matter of either/or - you can use carts or atomisers and tanks - just a matter of buying some extra cheap bits and experimenting, which is what I intend to do.

Fagin has made a great point, experiment until you find out what suits you, ego/riva bats all have a 510 fitting so most stuff will fit on them

Great advice given Chirpie . . . I wouldn't go with the Ego Tank kit either, even though it sounds very appealing. They're known for having issues with juice wicking, cartomiser's would be a much better/simpler option, with maybe a couple of atomiser's for trying out new flavours. I'm going to move your thread onto the General Board hope you don't mind, where you're likely to get more opinions, than here.
