Afternoon each, Does anyone use pre-made AG in their mixes? Is it just used as a straight swap for VG and still mixed with PG? Any advice as to pluses, minuses and differences etc would be much appreciated As far as I am aware I don't have any PG or VG allergy - just curious if "thinner" VG makes for a better/different vape I don't trust myself to add distilled water to VG TIA

Yes, just treat AG the same as you would VG in a recipe.... straight swap. AG is just easier to work with (especially if using syringes!) and thinner so wicks better (depending on your device) than pure VG.
I normally use AG these days, so can't comment on what VG is like vape-wise.

I use home made AG at 10%. I just fill a 100ml bottle with water, pour it in a litre bottle then top up with neat VG Absolutely no difference to cloud coverage, wicks better and it easier to handle against neat VG. Also on the plus side it makes 10 liters of VG in to 11 liters of AG, whats not to like.

I used to use AG exclusively, used to buy mine from myvapery. As said it wicks better than VG and is much thinner so easier to mix with

In my normal random fashion . . . . I just slosh some water into my plain VG, shake and check the consistency looks about right, although it's a winter/cooler weather thing I do. Once the temperatures rise, I don't bother diluting. To be fair, the ratio of flavouring I generally use takes care of any potential viscosity issues ghostrider1971 . . . . .

Perpetua - Are you using distilled water? Another thing I was thinking was, does a 50/50 mix using AG become like a 60 PG as AG is thinner than VG?

Perpetua - Are you using distilled water? Nope, I just use filtered/boiled/cooled tap water ghostrider1971 . . . . . which isn't everyone's choice, but me personally I don't get hung up on stuff like this. If you'd rather be more particular, then ask for Purified Water in the Chemist/Pharmacy Counter as that is easier to obtain than Distilled.

Been looking at this since it seems to be a no brainer if it increases the volume of your vg and makes wicking easier by adding water. Checking other forums I found this www.thevapingforum.com/Thread-AG-vs-VG . The poster saying it's fine for 50/50 and mtl mixes but dangerous with high vg mixes owing to the water boiling and causing spitting at high wattage. Any found this or used ag in high vg mixes?

I had never considered using AG, (not sure why), but, after this thread I will probably give it a go at some point. My fear is it would weaken the mix, I'm no cloud chaser, but I like my vapour to be good and thick! Also, I've not long ago found exactly the right container to pour VG with no problems!

I use 10% AG (no PG) in my drippers at .2ohms at 80watts with no issues at all. I found anything over 10% water content you get the steaming/spitting issues.

I include about 5 to 7 percent Distilled Water in my VG/e-liquid brews. Works fine for me.
Over the last year or so, I have been reducing the percent of PG in my mixes and replacing some of that with water to gain back a little of the "runnyness". Works fine for me although I cannot comment about high wattage use.
I've found Distilled Water readily available cheap in the supermarket - they make and sell large bottles for irons and ironing. There's always more than enough DW in the laundry cupboard for my vaping purposes with the bonus that I don't even have to arrange to go buy it... *grin*

I bought a bottle about a year ago and forgot about it. Will mix a bit up with some vg before my next home brew session.
