About non-smokers who became vapers: do they use nicotine?

There are over 2,500 different chemicals in a cigarette. There are 4 in e-juice.

Tobacco and the inhaling of smoke from burning it has been around for 400 years and they are still studying its effects.

So don't expect any mind blowing facts about the dangers of Vaping until or around the year 2417.

I haven't ever really thought about it (salivation...), or compared e-liquid with no nicotine to with nicotine to be able to say.

In this topic, I wonder if the non-smokers who start vaping need nicotine.


There are not only chemical/physiological considerations but also behavioural ones (and technical, ...).


By the way, I'll soon get the e-liquid I need. I'll let you know

I haven't ever really thought about it (salivation...), or compared e-liquid no nicotine to with nicotine to be able to say. 

Well, I may be extrapolating a bit too fast on this one.

When I smoked or vaped nicotinated liquid, I could feel the associated pleasant salivation and also a kind of pleasant light "spicy" taste on my tongue.
Hard to describe for me. But pleasant. I could not smoke or vape with a furred mouth.
I paid more attention to that due to my quasi-anosmia and my more focusing on taste during smoking/vaping.

Well, as far as I can see, you were the first to write about "the dangers of Vaping" in this topic.
Thinking about "dangers", I thought, as a joke first, about some explosive batteries then I realized I need to explore that topic (battery) thoroughly.

But that's not really true, is it ?

There may well be over 2,500 different chemicals in a cigarette when ignited, but to say there are only 4 in e-juice isn't right.

If you use any kind of flavouring then there are more than 4 chemicals involved, and who knows how many are created when heated to the average vaping temperature ?

That's not to say that vaping isn't vastly safer than smoking, I just don't think that it's a good or valid argument.

I do apologise. I have just looked up the latest facts on cigarettes when burnt and these are suggesting that there are 7,000 chemicals present.
Silly me for suggesting that it was a mere 2,500.
