I'm reading all over the net that Corn syrup is bad to vape. Then I'm seeing it's in tfa caramel original but also that it's a lovely caramel flavour. Any thoughts and opinions on this please?

My thoughts only . . . . I use flavourings with Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl and don't concern myself, so I adopt the same philosophy with something like Corn Syrup. I'd imagine that the amount used is probably very small otherwise coils would gunk up in a nano second - they don't with TPA's Caramel Original, it's been a staple flavouring for me, for years. But like anything we use it's a personal decision, I only know my own mind jtc and I don't get bogged down with what is considered safe or otherwise to vape, other than the blindingly obvious no no's.

TPA declare the chemical components of their flavourings (unlike most other manufacturers) and - although I'm no chemist - I can't see anything mentioned for their Caramel (Original) that causes me concern. Or am I missing something?

Or am I missing something? It clearly states Corn Syrup in the ingredients. shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6877-caramel-original-flavor.aspxWhen I searched about vaping corn syrup I didn't like what I was reading, but admittedly this can be said about many things. This is why I was just looking for some advice

Quote taken from the link that ceedee posted "Please know that the information provided is NOT the manufacturer's formula, it is information derived from GC/MS. (Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry )" might explain the difference between what you are seeing on the link in your post to the actual ingredients jtc ??

Are these the processes they use to 'smell' flavours (i.e. to chemically recreate them - 'nature identical' rather than naturally derived)? Is there a chemist out there?

I'm no chemist but I believe the GCMS machine samples the item in question and spits out a list of chemical signatures detected - they use one in CSI all the time
