You need to get another job. One where you and your vape gear don't need to be hanging of a pole 11 metres from the ground chief.

+1 A constrictor knot works around a Armonaizer and will easily hold the weight of the of a 3 battery rolo, just needs some thin strong cord, 3-4 mm. Will hold a tube mod, just not a pull off top cap. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constrictor_knotBTW not so hard to undo on solid things like metal or glass, but soft things it is, great for pulling shrubs out: use a loop and a plank as a leaver.

Proof, + 10 kg (well more, but I can't remember exactly how much the bar weighs, maybe 1.5 kg)

I have been using a lanyard for well over 4 years now and whilst I cannot say that I work at any great heights, I have never dropped any units either. At the moment I am laying concrete slabs and so I am bent over most of the day and so the mod is simply tucked inside my T-shirt to stop it getting in the way, but normally it is just hanging on my chest and even when driving, it hangs below the top of the seat belt and still has enough lanyard left to allow the drip tip to reach my mouth. If I need both hands on the wheel, I just drop the mod and it returns to the safety of the end of the lanyard.
The thing is, that with the properly proportioned lanyard, the unit is always there, always safe and I never have to worry about dropping it or losing it.
Quite frankly, I don't know why more folks don't use them.
