And a pack of papers, thats all it took. I could smoke all day. Yes arguably it was slowly killing me, but at least it was doing it with little effort and fairly modest cost.
My desk now looks like a demented alchemist's workshop. I honestly have no idea what half the stuff does, I see a link and people getting exited and assume I need one. I know I have stumbled onto a golden age of vaping bargains, but I really dare not tot up how much this madness has cost me. On the plus side three months plus of not smoking may just be worth it.

Well look at it this way, how much does a pouch of baccy cost you, how many do you get through in a month and at the end of it all you're left with is a pile of ash and dog ends.

I will start by saying like most (albeit fairly short term) ex-smokers I am a strong advocate of encouraging people to stop. The tobacco was usually ridiculously cheap for me, I have a lot of family members who travel abroad regularly. Probably with papers and filters about £15 a week. The real positive side for me extrapolating my 'Marathon time', from the mile I walked today I could probably run one in less than 2 days. Give it a few more months I could be under a day. I just never realized how complicated vaping could get if you read forums where people are very advanced with its various aspects. A little knowledge really is a dangerous thing.

I just never realized how complicated vaping could get if you read forums where people are very advanced with its various aspects. A little knowledge really is a dangerous thing. the thing is, vapng will cost a lot less than tobacco, the degree of how much cheaper depends entirely on you...e.g I, like many of us on here, mix my own juice and so have stockpiled nic base to be able to mix for the next 12-ish years, and I don't buy the "next best thing" all the time. What you do find is that, generally, you have to invest a bit more up-front to get settled with kit and juice, but then the ongoing cost falls away quite rapidly** My current weekly cost of vaping, which includes the cost already incurred for the stockpile of nic base and enough kit to last through the zombie apocolypse is around £8, within a couple of years that average will be down to around £2 as the only ongoing costs will be PG, VG and flavourings Actually, those costs are less, as that covers me, Mrs. G-J and Mni-Gun#1, so that amount covers 3 people:) **provided you don't catch shinyitis and end up buying the "next best thing" all the time

No panic. We'll help Unless you actually bought some non-vape gear, then that depends. Great post though...

It's a well known condition called shinyitus. There is no known cure although empty pockets do seem to abate the symptoms for short periods. It is highly contagious, but fortunately not deadly. In all seriousness when I first started vaping I thought I needed at least one of everything and it cost me a small fortune, but I have only bought vaping essentials over the last few years and saved an absolute packet compared to smoking. These last few weeks I am making up for lost time, but the days of vaping gear becoming obsolete within a few months are over in Europe. The 6 month notification period for new products means items should hold their value more so there will be fewer bargains about. Now is a very very good time to have the condition.

It is if you can get some nic base ordered in the next 2 days and slapped in your freezer Just a couple of pertinent points.......

Now is a very very good time to have the condition. You are not wrong. Developing worse symptoms next Monday could be total ruin. I intend to hypno therapize myself over the weekend and be re-born as a 100% DIY e-liquid vaper and someone who only enjoys vaping on tanks bigger than 2ml. That'll solve my issues.

There is no known cure yes there is, don't be taken in in the first place - That's prevention not a cure Now is a very very good time to have the condition. It is if you can get some nic base ordered in the next 2 days and slapped in your freezer You'll still be able to source reasonably priced eliquids just as long as you're not vaping over 20ml, but yeah for maximum savings better off mixing your own, hence 5 litres of 72mg in the freezer.
Just a couple of pertinent points....... Just a few pertinent replies

So this weekend provides the first real test of my resolve, four days away from my Vaping base camp. What to take? how much backup? Will I need a generator and petrol in case of power cuts to recharge batteries? What flavours, given I am no nearer to having an all day vape than when I started, so many dilemmas.
