Evening each, Well, I received my Tsunami RDA....managed to wick and coil it (blimey!)......and......very impressed with it Flavour is excellent and clouds are silly big.... Few questions, please... 1) Wicks seem to go brown very quickly...is that normal? (Using Pink Lemonade Element and SPT Sprite so far) 2) Coils seem to go black and crusty quickly....is that normal? 3) I'm taking the lid off and filling rather than dripping down the middle 4) Dripping burns through a tonne of juice (which I thankfully have...) very quickly? 5) Pre-made seems to taste far better than my DIY's so far (Swedish Fish DIY tasted REALLY harsh - love it in a Nautilus) - do they work better on high VG? TIA

Elements liquid will gunk a coil in about three seconds due to all the sweeteners they clank in and the harshness can also be down to bedding the wick in. Normally eases off after a bit and the nicotine hit can sometimes be much stronger in an rda so it could be that too.

1.Yes 2.Yes 3.If you have a driptip wide enough its easier to drip down it than take the top off but it is also easier to over drip. 4.Yes(If you think your getting through a ton of juice now wait till you start squonking lol.) 5.Not always, IMO some juice just dosent go well at low ohms/high watts in RDAs but will be fine in RDAs with a more suitable low build. High VG will take out some of the harshness.

I'm using a "fused clapton" which is reading around 0.36 ohms and have got it going at about 42w at the moment Started around 35w but not sure how much further I want to push it now. phtumshk - Funnily enough, I've a Pico squonky thing sitting on my shelf at the moment - one of the kind guys on here has offered to help me set it up

Darent put it on the squonk unit tho, run a single .4 Ni80 in that and can easily chuff me way through 7 or 8mls a night. When I was just dripping on the lower build it was only a couple of mls a night. With regards to harshness forgot to ask what nic level you were using but you may want to drop the nic in your RDA juice if your not already low mg..

phtumshk - I'm mainly using 6mg nicotine - a bit high for RDA? If I can cut down the nic I have stored for the RDA, it's a win-win

Lung hittin some big dirty claptons at 50w you could probably halve it lol. Personally I run around 3mg in my MTL RTAs and smidge over 1mg in my RDA juice. Next time I mix a batch of strawberry milk for the RDAs Im going to omit the nic and see how I get on without it.

I think you need higher watts for elements juice lol.
I don't get a big problem with gunky coils, been on the pink lemonade for a long time.
Mostly use it in a vcmt tank which seems to go for about a month without cleaning the coils and even then they're not that bad. No idea why.
Keep the wicks fairly snug through the coils, stops the wicks collapsing and might help a bit.
But yeh, welcome to the slippery slope of dripping lol

Welcome to dripping, ghostrider1971 . phtumshk has answerd the questions, but a hint for best dripping is to wick using the Scottish Roll method. You may have allready come across it, but if not it's in a tutorial on this site, or you'll find it on the web. I find it makes for less dripping, cleaner wicks and coils not getting gunked up as fast. Things do taste a lot stronger when dripping, this can take a bit of getting used to, and yes, you go through a lot more juice! Enjoy.
