So the sad day has come.
The amazing revolution that has built over the last close to a decade is now at an end. Innovation has been staked to the ground and consumer choice trampled over.
Sad times indeed.

Do you know what vereybowring I feel a bit like that as well, I've just got up from the pc and gone and shut the back door and just stood looking out at the garden I felt really sad that it has come to this, very sad for all the new wannabe ex-smokers who will possibly struggle now to get off the cancer sticks. And even sadder that they are trying to stifle innovation and creation in the world Yes ok all of us will be alright but what about the newbies, it just stinks it really does.

Sad times indeed. I agree vereybowring that it is a little sad and some of these new laws are frankly stupid but always look on the bright side of life . da da dada da da da Regulation on the juices we are vaping are good and stops alot of people selling shite. I'm sure there are other positives but I think the main one is there is that there is now a sizeable community of vapers and they will always be there and ready to help new vapers under TPD.

crock of shit really but don't really stop people trying to stop smoking by vaping, TPD could have been a lot worse than what has come in too place. As vapers we should still encourage are fellow smoker to change to vaping. Its a new dawn its about the small vapers taking on the tobacco & pharmo industry I still believe in years to come vaping will be bigger than smoking. vaping is not perfect but beats the hell out of those cancer sticks.

I'm seeing an awful lot of confusion particularly on facebook - there are groups saying they can't call themselves "vape" anything anymore, other groups claiming the rules only apply to "registered vendors" whilst others claim its business sellers only that have to comply and individuals and hobbyists can carry on as normal. I suspect some of the facebook groups won't last long post TPD as they primarily existed to buy, sell & trade many were sponsored by vendors and the monthly vendors give aways and competitions were what attracted people to them.

Well I have to say it's nowhere near what some suggested it would be. So you can't buy great big tanks or big bottles of juice. How will that prevent current smokers quitting should they decide to try through vaping. I quit primarily with evods and had it not been for this forum encouraging me, not that I wasn't a willing participant, to buy bigger and better stuff I'd likely have stock with those old evods. They worked a treat and I'm sure I'd never have smoked again from that point onwards.
Some scaremongers insisted all the forums would be closed and vape meets banned, how wrong were they ! I'm sure they made plenty of money along the way despite their protestations to the contrary.
Of course no one likes change and to have things they could have yesterday taken away today but really, although stupid and financially driven how restrictive is it really for existing and future vapers.

We may feel sad TJ, but the government purse won't. Lets not have anyone, far less any vaper try to pull the wool over our eyes on this great directive. Looking on the bright side by saying "well it could have been worse" doesn't cut any ice with me. The sole intent and as I see it, long term aim, is to outlaw vaping and make it a completely illegal activity. Brexit will make no difference and as for anyone who thinks when/if this is looked at in the years to come and will be relaxed in any way, must be watching pink elephants with sunglasses reading the womans own, coz it just ain't gonna happen. To the contrary, should any loopholes appear, you can bet your bottom dollar the toffee nosed, spoon fed political numpties that make a poor attempt at running this country, will be desperate to close them rather quickly. Along the way we've heard the same old, same old, "what about the children", "you don't know whats in it" etc. It's whats known as political bullshit. In government eyes, the ideal British citizen, is one who smokes 2 packs a day, reaches retirement age, get's on a public service vehicle using their pass for free travel to go and collect their first old age pension and is carried off that bus in a shiny wooden jacket by an undertaker. What a servant to the country, shoveled all that money in and never lived to get a penny back out. Please don't forget that every life lost is a pension saved. The government coffers don't like ex-smokers and wannabe ex-smokers coz it's lost revenue and may mean a longer lifespan. Innovation and creation is all very well, as long as it "FITS IN" if it doesn't then it will be rapidly trampled on. Of course we will, on the whole, be alright. I'm sure this community will strive to help each other as well as newbies. After all, if we can't help one another, no one else will.

I take it today is the last day of sales as everything still seem to be on sale? Yes, the inevitable is happening and as usual us minions are being squashed, raped of well being, tax and prospering. Lies are spouted out by them for their gain and not ours. There's nothing new here and each government of the world just has their own way of crushing us. Money, control and evil is prevailing and it breaks my heart to see so much of it. Eventually I hope the world will wake up and see what these evil dictators are doing and things might change but I doubt that will be in my lifetime. Meanwhile the majority will still live in the fake world that's been created for them, keep handing over their money and keep being educated and brainwashed by the evil. What a mess

Striker they were always going to regulate it, and yes it could have been worse, imagine if they would have taxed the liquid the same as they tax tobacco. As for effecting smokers that just shit when I started vaping I had a ego pen and back then most shops sold 10ml bottles, its only in the last 2 and half years that the juice sucking tanks and super powerful mods have been showing up. All I hear is about the vape community we could not even get 100000 votes for any partition, yet there is meant to be 2 million vapers in the UK, if we just give up then yes they have done what they desired too do & that was too kill of vaping. As community we still need too keep the pressure on governments to revoke the vaping laws, and too show them that smoking is the killer not vaping.

The juice sucking tanks you allude to smokingaces, may well be part of the innovation and creation that TJ pointed out in her post. So to a greater extent they are trying to suppress, stifle it and take us back in time. Not being able to get the required 100,000 votes was poor, but on the other hand would it have made any difference, I think not. There was a fair weight of evidence presented from the medical and scientific establishments when all this was going through, it was their CHOICE to ignore it. On this occasion, as with many others it's not the evidence that makes up minds in the Lords, it's the power of the pound. When you have stink of piss coffin dodgers deciding whats best for you, it's not a democratic country you live in, it's a dictatorship.
