What TPD sales juice are you vaping on & whats it like?

I'm plodding on . . . . .

The Captain's Reserve: Jacob's Ladder, Buccaneer's Brew, Polly's Plunder, Traitor, Storm, Captain's Custard, Canon Fodder & Hornswoggle - which were the balance of their flavours I had yet to try.

Several I found very samey, although all quite vapable . . . . . none however transported me to a faraway place of flavour filled delight, which I had hoped for!

ANML: Carnage

This again fell into the ' pleasant enough but unremarkable ' category for me - despite the hype:

Vaporshark: Miami Vice
One of the better ' premiums ' for my tastes that I've so far tried . . . . well flavoured and reminds me of a Piña Colada. I actually enjoyed this.

Cosmic Fog: Nutz

The reality - for my tastes despite high expectations, it's frankly dreadful! Harsh, somewhat nondescript flavour which left a rather unpleasant sour aftertaste in my mouth - I lasted not a half a tank full before zapping it with SA Red Fruits and TPA Bavarian Cream . . . . . neither can make this anymore grotty than it already is. Fortunately I only have 15ml.

Perhaps a clone might be better . . . . .

This grew on me the more I vaped it, very pleasant although it would have benefited from a touch more flavour for my tastes as all I really got was apple.

Ygrt: NYX & ARES

Both are fruit yoghurt combinations Mixed Berries and Strawberry . . . . the yoghurt base didn't have much of a ' twang ' to it, although a very enjoyable creamy flavour all the same. Perhaps the fruit element had peaked off by the time I used them, as that was almost non existent. Added some SA Red Fruits to NYX and INW Shisha Strawberry to ARES - which improved both hugely for me.

Spectrum Vapes: Custard Cream

Just that, a very nice custard cream flavour . . . . although I have to say, it's not so difficult to create a good custard vape going down the DIY route. Enjoyed this none the less.

Vampire Vapes: Dusk, Vamp Toes, Bat Juice, Applelicious

Bought these small premade samples out of interest as they were flavours not tried from VV, the thinking being if I ever run out of concentrates(!) then I'd know if they were to my liking. Each one worked for me, flavour levels were spot on - none were modificated or lasted long, so now I know.

I'm still looking at my mound of flavours and dithering in case I fill a tank with something vile?

I keep meaning to set up my dripper and plow through the 15ml bottles rather than faff about with them as I tend to use my billet box tanks for most juice nowadays and its messy if I rewicked and filled up and loathed the flavour, I tend to only use with my favourite juices (which in the majority are DIY one shots)

I've done Peach Taffy by Mad Hatter (got three bottles of the stuff) a little too sweet but a pleasant peach but for the premium price I wouldnt pay over the odds, I paid £5 for 60 mls which was reasonable but it's not out of the ballpark orgasmic

Bad Drip, Cereal Trip which I have tried before and really enjoyed but my palette must have moved on because its not dissimilar to ANML Looper and is lemony cereal and I accidentally threw half a bottle into Chefs Sugar Bear as I couldn't tell what it was by its smell, it'll be fine blended. Again it wasn't outstanding but a pleasant vape and at a few quid for 30 ml it wasn't breaking the bank!

Nothing I've tried so far has been hideous, although none have been what I would class as ' exceptional ' despite being so say premium eliquid . . . . the majority of US blends have been well under flavoured - for my tastes. But they've all been tweakable, not that I would have paid full price for any to date.

The homegrown ready made has been more to my liking.

I've a cupboard full still to work through, but I'm using them alongside tasty DIY mixes . . . . . which still convince me I've not missed much.

Charlie's Chalk Dust: - Peanut Butter & Jesus

They say . . . . A truly authentic peanut butter e-liquid. Peanut Butter & Jesus adds an almost spiritual experience to the traditional peanut butter and jelly Prominent Flavours: Peanut Butter, Jelly (or Jam!)

I say . . . . what a load of pretentious cobblers! On paper it sounded right up my street, in reality it's totally rank for my tastes. All I get from this is a vague hint of a rather musty nutty flavour which is far from pleasant.

It's so bad, I'm debating even going to the bother of tweaking and wasting good concentrates, or just offering it up to the sink! It's only the fact that I can't bear waste, that this hasn't happened.

Think I must have tempted fate by saying a little earlier " nothing I've tried so far has been hideous " . . . . that will teach me.

Should anyone want to have a bash at creating something rather more vapeable, then there are a number of clone recipes on ELR - which can't be any worse:

After my last ready made experience, I've had a bit of a lull and returned to some yummy, tasty homebrew . . . . .

Back on the case now though, with much overall happier news for my tastes:

Halcyon Haze: Sweet Prudence and Yellow Biafra

I love Gins Addiction, so always keen to try any of the other flavours from the range . . . . then I remembered I did try Sweet Prudence some years ago and wasn't gobsmacked. Thinking that with more current equipment the flavours might come through more to my liking - they didn't. So that still gets a thumbs down from me, it wasn't unpleasant, just nothing particular special.

Yellow Biafra however, was really enjoyable . . . . they say " a superbly sweet cocktail of ripe banana, golden syrup and toasted almonds is intermingled with notes of vanilla and a delightful hint of candy floss " and I would agree.

The price for a 0mg 10ml bottle is a little rich in my world though:

Goodies: Apple Strudel

Very vapable, not that appley - but the strudel flavour is good, there's definitely a touch of cinnamon danish in this for me. All in all a nice blend - although I am tempted when I've 10-20ml left, to add a touch more apple ( perhaps INW's Bahrain Apple ) just to see what the effect is.

Mr Macaron: Salted Caramel

This has some great reviews, so I had high hopes . . . . which were almost fulfilled, but not quite for my tastes - the creamy base is absolutely lush, I could have done with a shade more salted caramel for it to be epic. So after a couple of tanks I did add 2% FW Salted Caramel . . . . it's not quite right still, but the smell is amazing when it's vaped!

On the strength of this I decided to order the other blends in the range as they're at a bargain price at ECW, free shipping and my Wiz points from 2013 made them even more attractive!

Quite different from the last SC ready made, it's taken me a few tanks full to get into this . . . . but now that I have it's enjoyable, although I don't really get the strawberry or frosted flakes - not one I'd yearn to try again.

I've been enjoying these juices from Mountain Oak Vapors Summer Coolers Range, though I can't remember where I bought them from in the pre TPD Sales. Sweet and you can really taste the fruit and it's a real mouth filling sensation. I still have loads of juice left from my over the top purchases, I think I'll be vaping them well into Next Year.

What they say ... What I say ... Squonked this in the Pico Squeeze through the Odis atty (3mg). The first few puffs had a kind of Jam after taste but once the coil and wick settled in the pistachio flavour really came through and it was lush. Vanilla Ice creamy taste came through as well but the so called cookies and crème crumble ? Still very enjoyable and 60 ml gone before you know it. Verdict - very tasty but glad I bought it in the sale !

Flawless - We Ain't Done

What they say ... Strawberry infused Chimichanga sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar topped with a side of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

What I say ... Meh ! Tried it in a few different atties at various wattages and it is bland beyond belief with an odd after taste.

Verdict - We Aint Done but you should have stopped before you came out with this. Ill finish it but I'll be glad to see the back of it to be honest. A classic example of the hype of overpriced yucky eliquid

I say . . . . . Hmmmm, being generous - think any Strawberry element must have peaked off. I lasted 2 tank fulls of this blandness, before lobbing in 10ml of Liquid Barn's Strawberry Cheesecake - which turned it into a rather enjoyable and tasty vape!

Wooties - #21 Custard

Apparently this was the combined creation of 21 vapers, hence the name. Clearly these 21 good people have completely different custard tastes to mine, as I could detect no noticeable vanilla custard in this blend! Enough to say after the obligatory 2 tanks worth I chucked in a shot of TFA's Banana Cream . . . . made a nice vape, which at least I could taste.

TRIXXIE - CornPorn

They say . . . . . A buttery, pop and kettlecorn vape. Not too sweet, just right!

I say . . . . suppose it was that, an authentic enough popcorn flavour - not especially buttery for me however and really quite bland after a very short while! Guess what?! It got turned into a Cinnamon Danish with a hint of Apple popcorn blend. It's ok, not loving it and will be glad when it's finished.

Unfortunately I bought two bottles.

Mr Macaron - Vanilla Marshmallow & Strawberry Cream:

Not strictly speaking eliquid I bought in the pre-TPD smash n grabs, but offered at similar prices at the time. . . . . and having tried Salted Caramel, I decided it would be rude not to also test these out.

Vanilla Marshmallow:

I say . . . . yes, it was a very nice creamy vanilla vape - largely made from TFA's French Vanilla Deluxe I suspect, one of my favourite vanilla concentrates, which has a very distinctive smell - much like their Vanilla Custard does. Boredom soon set in however and it got turned into a rather nice Butterscotch Ripple type mix.

Strawberry Cream:

They say . . . . . Strawberry Cream by Mr Macaron E-Liquid is a twist on a classic dessert flavour. This e juice in particular combines the sweetness of cream and strawberry paste, and while it might catch you off guard at first, you will enjoy the feeling that you get when you use it. With each vape, you will find a new note of strawberry, and it will literally feel like you are enjoying a delicious dessert.

I say . . . . . well it's ok, pleasant enough strawberry blend, bit flat on the flavour front for me - how it can be considered " amazing " escapes me.

( Have to say, epic price for 30ml of eliquid. )

And really a tasty creamy strawberry milkshake isn't difficult to create either with a decent oneshot or from scratch.

So that's it for now, nothing has rocked my world as you can probably tell, think I'll have a spell on the homebrew next!

As an aside mini rant, which has nothing to do with either the above eliquid or Vendor . . . . . but the amount of packaging which comes with 30ml of eliquid now, thanks to the TPD, is so wasteful and really quite unnecessary.
