Could someone explain why this would be please. "I have been advised that you should not use the Argento with an AW IMR 18650 as this may damage the device. Using standard 18650 will be fine."

It could be because of the nipple puting stress on the area where the top of the battery goes and damaging it that way?

I saw that as well LD . . . I can only think that there's something that's not compatible in the AW IMR batteries with the Argento workings . . . it's an advantage in a way, as standard/protected 18650's are less pricey. That's what I use in it and they're absolutely fine.

Nipples or no nipples the advice given for different mods is confusing. Some say they are specifically designed for the AW IMR, some say you must use a protected battery. Some want nipples, some don't. I was about to say that to some extent you have to suck it and see, but perhaps in the context I'd better not

Having just read a thread that had the C rating mentioned in it I thought it would be good to have something on here. For starters, the C in C Rating stands for capacity. To break it down to its simplest terms, the C rating is the maximum safe continuous discharge rate of a pack. If you see 10C on your battery, it means it can be discharged at 10 times that pack's capacity. Capacity refers to the milliamp-hour rating of the battery, which will be listed as a number followed by mAh (2000mAh, for example).
Here's the easy way to find your battery's discharge rate just multiply the number from the C rating by the pack's capacity. Keep in mind that 1000 milliamps equals one amp. Here's an example, using an 3.7V 2000mAh 10C 3.7 volt 2000mAh 10C 2000 milliamps = 2 amps 2 Amps x 10 = 20 amps continuous discharge This means that you can safely draw up to 20 amps continuously from that 3.7V 2000mAh 10C without doing damage to your battery.

A quick understanding of the numbers given to batteries like the 18650.
The number it to be split into parts. The first two digits indicating the (approximate) diameter in millimeters and The 18 is the diameter. (1.8CM) The remainder indicating the (approximate) length in tenths of a millimeter The 650 is the length. (6.5CM)
This is a comparable list of common batteries against Li-ion
Name Size Li-ion Number AAA 10.5 x 44.5 10440 AA 14.5 x 50.5 14500 C 26.2 x 50 25500 D 34.2 x 61.5 32600
