Hi
It's only Day 2 of my New vaping experience,.......Going through a bit of sress as I'm starting a new job tomorrow. Would upping the watts give me more relief ?
At the moment I'm using a ASSA tank,Airflow open,15 watts & 18 mg juice
Fighting on.

Upping the power (watts) will create more vapour and therefore you should get a bigger nic hit. Why don't you try, say, 20W for a while? Good luck with your new job too.

Hang on in there! I'm relatively new to it too and dont have any experience with this particular set up but someone on here will be able to give you some great advice but by all means play around with it to see what suits you, but I've always been advised to work your way up the wattage rather than down so you don't burn your coil out right away Good luck tomorrow

You could also try reducing the airflow slightly, that will make it slightly harder to draw and produce a denser vapor.

Hang in there moblee. We all remember "those times". First comment: getting nic into your body from a vape happens slower than when smoking. Smoking gives a near instant hit whilst vaping is slower and far more gradual. Meaning vape for a bit before thinking "damn - this ain't working". Sure, try turning your vape gizmo up a little. Just be a little cautious because if you go too far you'll burn the coil/wick. So easy does it, a little at a time. Another thing I tried back in the day when atties simply didn't wick so well - for "those times" - I ran two, one in each hand alternating between them. Sound hard core? Guess it was, but it worked. I could keep dragging that nic without overrunning the wick. If you have the luxury of self mixing your juice, one final trick that worked for me was to home brew up a "heavy duty stress brew". Unflavoured, highish PG with a nic strength at least 50 % higher than your usual. Dedicate one clearly marked atty to that stress mix - and dedicate that atty to just "those times". It hits hard and having it there helped me. NOT for continual use just for those extra stressful times. I really didn't use it much, but damn I'm sure glad I had it there. (Do not be afraid of the nic, especially at this early stage. It is very hard to overdose on nic thro a vape gizmo. You'll know if you've overdone it as you'll maybe get some headspins, perhaps a headache or even, in extreme cases, nausea. If you get sign of any of those, then simply cool it for a bit, no problem and no harm done.) Just hang in there. This initial struggle soon eases. Every day will be just that bit easier than the last. Soon enough you'll be posting over in the "Anniversary thread"! Oh - and good luck with the new job too! *fingers crossed for ya!*

You may find as I did rather quickly that I needed something more beefy. Something in the region of 50w I needed before vaping ever felt good for me. Lower mg and more vaper production I find more satisfying. Each to their own but the worst thing you can do is go back on the cigs. Stay strong 👍

Each to their own but the worst thing you can do is go back on the cigs. And I'll say at this present moment, the worst thing you can do is to allow yourself a couple of ciggies if they help get you over pre new job anxiety moblee. Smoking isn't a crime after all and as we've always said, count the ones you don't smoke, rather than any you may do. Starting a new job is a stressful experience, so don't be too hard on yourself if you falter just a little with vaping right now. Good luck for tomorrow.

Well i have been a big agony uncle to my mum this past 32 days. After 50 years of smoking she has now gone 32 days smoke free! Its been horrendous journy so far...constant phone calls and popping round helping her with equipment and altering her juices for her. We all never ever thought she would do it as she failed so many times in the past...but she found the will power from somewhere and is over the moon she has done it. So OP stay strong you can do it! I crease the nic, buy better hardware, increase the power, what ever you need to do to stay off the fags. Your feel great for it!

I will echo Perpetua if you feel you really need a ciggy then have one don't stress about it, the goal is to quit smoking but do it in the least stressful way you can. Use the vape to reduce how often you reach for a smoke, the less you smoke the fewer cravings and need to smoke you'll have and eventually the vape will satisfy you more until you get to the point you really don't need to smoke at all and can get by with just vaping alone. I certainly didn't quit by just picking up a mod and never touching a cigarette again, over the course of a few months of vaping but also smoking when i felt i really needed one i was off the cigs all together. I'm still amazed just how painless and stress free it was to quit after 27 years of smoking.

Me neither Get Off My Cloud . . . . it took a couple of weeks at least before I felt ' secure ' enough with my vaping, before losing the need to smoke. Although I hung onto a last pack for 2-3 years I think after that, just incase! Oh, & I beat the temptation Today. Well done moblee .
