V2 long wick Clearomisers and tank systems. Do these guys wick better and do they give a less scratchy draw than the vision ego rainbow clearomisers? I'm finding the regular rainbow ones give me a really scratch draw and really kills my throat which is lessening my enjoyment of vaping. (I've supplied links to both) www.vapeescape.co.uk/new-vision-ego-v2-rainbow-long-wick~362www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision%2Dego%2Drainbow%2D2%2E5%2D2%2E9%2Dstandard%2Dresistance%7E303Or should I be looking at tanks and cartomisers? If so any recommendations? I don't need a big tank 3 ml will probably be enough and am I right in thinking boge cartomisers are the way forward? How many tanks is a good amount to have 3? I would like to be able to switch my flavours when I'm out and about so those which are good at not leaking would be best. I've been scouring forums and review sites (really like e-cig reviews and taste your juice) but I'm getting confused information overload and so much to learn basically, but good enjoyable watching. Are theses as good as any? www.vapeescape.co.uk/coloured%2Dtanks%2D3%2E5ml%7E319Again any suggestions most welcome! I hear good things about the little momma but I think they are just sold in the US? I'm probably going to get myself a v2 LavaTube to use (would like a Provari but can't afford one ho hum maybe for Xmas/lottery win/just going f@&k it and getting one) so you guys will have an idea of what I'm going to be using. Thanks for reading this and any advice

Allan, I'm not the best person to reply to your thread as I've mainly stuck with Boge cartomisers on their own. But if you are getting a scratchy throat, it might help if you go for a bit higher VG juice content

I'm with Chrissie on this, many peeps here love the stardust/visions, and I'm sure someone will be along to talk to you about them soon, I don't like them tho You can't really go wrong with boge cartos, cheap, easy and they work although I agree that it can be a faff topping up all the time. So, what about one of these www.vapeescape.co.uk/35mm-dc-tank-kit~337If you want to use standard boges you will need to punch a hole in them though. I use something similar at home and get on really well with it I use this to punch holes in the carto but I believe you can get something from ebay for half the price www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/accessories/354-cartomiser-hole-punch.html

I love my Visions, and can't imaging what a scratchy draw feels like Are you perhaps tightening the drip tip too much and crushing the wick? If you tighten it too much you can 'squish' (highly technical I know) the white part onto the wick too tight and then the wick doesn't draw up the juice properly. I think you can loosen it by pulling on the centre pin, but don't quote me on that. Macca seems to know quite a bit about these, he may be able to help?

The longer wick version will wick marginally better especially when the e-juice levels start to fall ..But I don't think wicking is the issue because you are not getting dry hits..
I think you have a PG allergy if you are having a scratchy feeling in the back of the throat and I would try what Chrissie said..Go for VG heavy juices..

Just got my first vision thingys today (short wick ones) and been trying them out tonight (I've been using Boge cartomisers up to now). So far so excellent, plenty vapour and good taste. The only downside seems to be using a lot of juice, but might just be concentrating too hard.

I've ordered myself so e juice from Vapour Juice ( but not had opportunity to try it yet) as its a 50/50 mix and we will see how that goes. After that if no improvement I'll move down to 12mg of nicotine in the juice and see how it goes. Thanks gang

I got some of the Vision egos a week or so back and really do like them, mentioned already they seem to use a lot of juice though. I liked them so much that I was ready to order more and saw the V2 were in stock. Got three of them in the post yesterday and will try them in a few days. My own, very limited, thoughts are the same as others have said and the throat problem is likely to be a VG/PG %age thing. Always something new to spend on isn't there

I'm into Boge carto's as well, and they do me just fine. When I had my Riva first I used the atty's and carts that came with it for a while. But then ordered a box of Boge's to try them out.I had 1 in the box that must have been a bit of a dud because it only lasted about a day before I threw it,but the others have been great.I have got one of them that I have been alternating with another and it has been going strong for over a month and still vaping well.I think the art is not to let them go dry.As for topping up,it is not a problem for me as i'm retired and spend most of my time at home.It is no bother to me to open my box of juices, take off the drip tip and add a few drops of my favourite stuff and away we go again. In fact I quite enjoy doing it.

Hi all, I got the mark II's and I have to say you thought the mark 1's were good wait till you try the II's, They are really fantastic. I got the lower resistance ones 1.8ohms and they happily work all day long on a eGo vv battery set to the lowest voltage also I use them on my Provari and only on 3.4 volts is all that is needed and the vapour and taste is magnificent. What I did notice though is these are actually made for the voltage and current for the eGo batteries hence they last quite well. But the normal resistance on the Provari I had to Vape at 4.204.4 volts hence they burnt out in a week so if you do want to use these on a more powerful supply go for the low res ones and turn your power down then they will last as long as they were made for on an eGo Battery. As I said the Mark II's are 100% better than the original ones so don't be afraid to try them but I would personally recomend the lower resistance but obviously it is personal preference Mixdoctor
