So ive just flew out to pathos on holiday. Been a while since holidaying and flying. Whilst going through duty free I thought id look at the ciggies etc...they are now in a secluded room...obviously because of legislation etc....when I was perusing the room I thought to myself I wonder if we (us vapers)will ever see such a duty room for attys juice etc....what you all think?

I think "Big Tobacco" and "Big Pharma" will have us outlawed in the not too distant future. We will not get the privilege of a secluded perusing room. There's the sceptic in me speaking....

I think we will yes. As the big money men and gangster government get their claws further into things I reckon that's exactly what will happen. I can see cigs being a thing of the past and vape tax will get to a stage where they can afford to ban cigs from the shelves. If science doesn't produce damaging evidence of our habit then I think tighter control and laws are inevitable. We should feel lucky we were there at the start imo 😧

10 years from now I'm sure the vaping and tobacco world will be very different.

Even now things are very different from when I started vaping, and that is in just 3 years. Jump forward 10 years, who knows. Money, tax and profits will be the key. My prediction is that government will not need to ban tobacco smoking. Vaping will do it for them. Vaping is unstoppable and only a luddite will think otherwise.

Are you saying you can use Luddite and government in the same sentence?

10 years from now I'm sure the vaping and tobacco world will be very different. Not in the House of 'Jack it won't be - I've got enough nic base, tanks and pre-made coils to last for about 12 years for the 3 of us who vape ..my problem will be, what happens in year (unlucky for some) 13 ??

Are you saying you can use Luddite and government in the same sentence? Hammond is Chancellor of the Exchequer, says it all doesn't it.

Our government is trying to promote vaping (within the constraints of the TPD), and they realised a long time ago that losses from tobacco revenue will be partly offset in the long term by savings on the NHS, so there's unlikely to be any further restriction of vaping activity.
I could see future governments imposing tax on nicotine (why not, everything else is taxed), in which case they would want to encourage more people to vape, so I don't see anything to worry about.

I certainly believe that things will have changed in ten years, but I am hopeful it will be for the better! I always like to be optimistic about these things
