Has anyone used holy vanilla in a custard recipe?

I've tried it as a standalone lush, to get a feel for the flavour . . . . it was fine, although for my tastes TFA's French Vanilla Deluxe works better - so I didn't get any further than that. Are you looking for ratio suggestions?

I’ve tried it in several mixes, lush, usually between 1.5 to 2.5%; it’s a nice middling Vanilla, if I want a sweet vanilla I tend to use Flavour Arts Vanilla Tahiti, if I want a less sweet one I use their Vanilla Bourbon, I also like the TFA V Deluxe, but have only recently got it so don’t yet use in any mixes.

I`m going to add it to some custard at 1% to start with! My standalone I made at 12% and it wasn't overly strong at that ratio either Lush - but as we all know taste is a very personal and individual thing! And it depends what else you're adding to it. I also like the TFA V Deluxe, but have only recently got it so don’t yet use in any mixes. It's my staple vanilla Beedee, one of the few that was around when I first started mixing, it worked for me so I've kinda stuck with it despite trying others - needs a good, long steep to be at it's best. Sometimes I might add 1% of Vanillin for an extra creamy hit . . . . . and if I want something less ' desserty ' then Inawera's Shisha Vanilla is another I find very good.

If it's a straight TFA VC, then it will benefit and become more ' rounded ' with the addition of a vanilla flavour . . . . . I quite like TFA's as an alternative to Capella, it's more custardy for my tastes.

I only make TFA custard for a mate and he has vaping that for three years! just want to try to improve the vc for him
