Does anyone know if vaping with stainless is any better/worse in respect of health/toxins from the metal?

I know that if you glow it red it can produce oxides or summat toxic.
Otherwise its fairly  neutral.

im not sure about the givein of funky gases when vapeing it as you shouldn't get it red hot when vapeing but if you do over glow it it do half gunk up quicker
brand new fresh ss coil do taste diff to same kanthal set up but that only seems to last a tank till it all beds in
i tend to run ss at a lower power range than kanthal

this hollow wire is kinda interesting because when you bend tube it dont tend to work to well ie it flattens on itself ,i wonder if this stuff do the same
if you get in to the ss try the flattened wire from crazy wire, i use the smallest stuff they had and its rather good (dont try and do touching coils ,it dont end well lol)

as far as my understanding goes is that there are no potential harmful gasses from SS - be it 316, 316L, 317, 317L or 430 unlike other TC capable wires namely Ti / Ni200 when pulsed red hot

it does have a lower resistance than Kanthal (or other FeCrAl wires) or NiChrome (N80) so it needs more wraps / bigger ID for a mech.

When dry burning ss keep it at a very low glow or yes it can produce nasty oxides just like any other metal.I do it in low light or cup my hand around it and then let it cool. I then brush with a toothbrush before a final pulse and blow. Kanthal can take a lot more heat but it's still not recommended to glow until white hot 👍😊
