Hi there. So I'm new to this but I've done quite a bit of research. I've got a pretty good idea of what I'm after but there are so many mods available that you could be looking for the rest of time without a little guidance. So I was hoping I could describe what it was I wanted to put together and you could assist me with your clearly sizeable knowledge base. Thanks. So essentially I would like to put together something with: -A very high battery life, size isn't really an issue as I don't mind lugging around the good stuff. -Low resistance -Clear tank, storable -I don't want a high voltage, just enough to manage a low res atomiser -A flat drip tip The small things such as the tips and what have you aren't really a problem but the combination of battery + atomiser/tank is a little trickier. I'm willing to pay for good quality but I can't quite afford a GGTS, I am a student after all Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hi intro don't know if this helps but a lot of mods hold low resistance and standard resistance well. But if you want a clear tank to put on with a long battery life, it depends how much ,money you want to spend. From your other post are you looking for a box mod??????

Hi Daz. It doesn't have to be a box mod specifically, I just thought that one was a rather nice example. I'd like to spend about £100 quid and have a decent kit of everything but the juice if possible. I can probably budge a little on that but not too much.

-A very high battery life, size isn't really an issue as I don't mind lugging around the good stuff. -Low resistance -Clear tank, storable -I don't want a high voltage, just enough to manage a low res atomiser -A flat drip tip - Get someone to make you an 2x 18650 boxmod with PTN04050 or similar (booster mod) I made mine few weeks back and it lasted me 3 whole tanks before running out of life. -LR Boge's are great if you're going for tank experience (if you want atomizer-tank system then 100£ ain't getting you anywhere) -Lots of great tanks out there (even have few threads in here about those... You should look into big mama, J-tank, km-mods.. Something durable (not those 3£ cheapos that just leak after a little shaking) - Flat driptip? Make one yourself or use MegaDualCoilCartomizers that has those (or B-type eGo atomizers) They are soft rubber thou :/ Buuuuuut if you ain't got time or knowledge to get someone to make a mod... There was that 2x 18350 mod that was in VTTV a while back.. Was it ~20£ or so.. Then get a tank for ~20£ and some different resistance cartomizers for your tank (seriously you might change your perspective on things after trying SR on 5V or so

Welcome,
Flat drip tips are often called whistle tips. That may help if you're looking them up.
You don't need to concentrate too much on low resistance. It's the combination of applied voltage and resistance that determines the 'strength' of a vaping device. You can simulate a lower resistance coil by applying a higher voltage, for instance. This is where variable voltage devices such as lava tubes come in. There are many VV options, but generally it's more convenient to vary the voltage to to your requirements and just use a more standard resistance coil.
It's harder to advise on things like cartos/tanks/clearos, since your preference will be a matter of personal taste, so it's worth trying out a few different formats before you settle down to your preferred option.Use a fairly standard power coupling eg ego/510 to start with, so you can swap between them without too much penalty.
It's tempting to think you can buy the perfect kit first time, but a certain amount of experimentation is inevitable (and fun) in my view. Same with juices. Experiment, because your tastes are your own.

Tbh I would get a cheap VV device and go from there, your tastes are going to change and you are probably going to have to try a few different things on the end of it, to find one you really like. Start with a vision ego and some boge cartos.

Ooooookay. Thanks for the advice so far. Forget the tank bit because I think that's probably running before I can walk, (they do look well cool though) I'll probably get some boge cartos and some clearos at first and try both to see which I prefer. What online stores do people recommend with a good range (purely because it'd be quite handy if I could do my first order all from one site.) If you can suggest a site or two then I'll run my final order past you when I've made a decision and see if anyone shouts at me I'm currently looking at vapeescape.co.uk so any other recommendations would be ace.

Forgot about safercigs, good range of products www.safercigs.co.uk/I can understand you wanting to place an order all from one site but in reality I don't think that always works. Often to get exactly what you want it's better to shop around

Hi introspectionist - if you want long battery life go for something that uses an 18650 battery - that will have a capacity of 1600 mAh or more. I would suggest a simple battery mod to start with, but you can get quite cheap variable voltage mods that use the same batteries (the Lavatube is probably your best bet, lots of vendors have them). A couple of cheap but good battery mods are the Bolt e.g. www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-bolt-18500-dct-kit-%2A%2Afree-extender-ring%2A%2A~302That kit includes batteries, charger and two tanks, so presses all your buttons! An alternative is the Argento, here: www.britvapes.co.uk/Argento/p1204754_5844686.aspxThis also has an option for adding batteries and a charger Either of those will be extremely durable and reliable and leave you with plenty of budget to explore the things you stick on them and the huge variety of juices that are available. Always check here for a possible discount code, wherever you decide to buy.
