Kayfun mini V5 is the RTA I would plump for if I was looking for a small Tank. The Kayfun range has always been an easy(ish) style to learn on. The V5 mini ISN'T a Clone either, it's an SXK "invented" idea and gets better feedback from users than the original, full size, Kayfun 5. Treat yourself to a new Mod with an internal battery (batteries don't last forever) and have a spare. Order a couple of Tanks from China (Fasttech or Gearbest have fairly reliable supply chains) and welcome to the new chapter in your Vaping journey!

Once again, many thanks to you all who have given me such great advice and guidance. My last question (well don't quote me on that) is about the life of rebuildable coils. It's probably one of those how long is a piece of string questions, but is it possible to calculate an average length of time before rebuilding a replacement coil? I guess different makes and models are affected differently and of course it depends on usage which will vary from one person to another. But can someone give a back of a fag packet guestimate of sorts?

mikemichelle I change wicks about once a week. Because it only takes minutes; costs almost nought and I quite enjoy it I almost always change the coil/s at the same time but I suspect they could last much much longer.

Coils can last a very long time. It's the wick that needs changing.
You need to do a dry burn of the coil after removing the old wick to burn off/loosen any gunk.
Put in a new wick and you should be good to go. Unless you break the coil it does not need changing.

mikemichelle late on this thread,I can rebuild the emow heads no problem, pmif intyerested. I've got all the gear to rebuild emow coils and seen a few videos. I probably could do it if i set my mind to it but i want to evolve my vaping up to the next level. Thanks for the offer tho.

If I can do it, then I'm positive you can mikemichelle . . . . it's seldom I do a full coil change if I can possibly help it, dry burning/rewicking now that I find quite enjoyable. There's something rather satisfying about seeing the gunk you've succeeded in zapping! I'm using coils that are literally a couple of years old, although they do tend to need doing more often the older they get.

Ok ... last piece of the puzzle is what battery/mod to get. I've definitely decided on an Eleaf Istick as I really like the look and feel of them (I have two 20W Isticks). However, I'm looking at the huge selection on Fasttech and am bewildered as to which (Istick) would be best for me? I mean they have 20W, 30W, 40W, 50W, 60W, 75W, 80W, 100W, 200W etc etc! I just don't understand why the huge range? Do I plump for something in the middle or does size really matter??? (My only other criteria is I like to be able to charge via the mains).
Thanks in advance as ever. I'd be totally lost without the help of you guys on here!

you have showed and interest in sub ohming of a diff thread i have the aspire speeder mod (2x 18650 batts) and this thing is built like a tank and not that heavy for a 200 watt mod tc should you ever decide to have a go at it seems to be very good (v similar to a dna) it lasts days when using it mtl at 10 to 15 watts it has balanced charging (it just meen you can charge the batts in the mod safely and not all mods have this) the 510 seems to be well fitted and has a stiff spring that has not weekend yet with 200 watts to hand you should be ok to run any sub tank you decide to buy but the more watts you use the faster the batts flatten www.fasttech.com/products/0/10015784/8210700-authentic-aspire-speeder-200w-vv-vw-tc-apv-box-mod£31 with the map coad but you need to get 2 18650 batts from torchy or one or the other batt vendors not CHINA as for sub tanks themselves, the ones that use shop coils are all much of a likeness so pop in to a few of your local vape places and see what they are selling the coils for that you fancy and order the tank from fast tech no good getting a tank that you cant get coils for easy(been there done that lol) a rebuildable subtank might not be the best route till you get the hang of building for the mtl tank in case you hadn't guessed i do like mine
