I placed an order on FT with just 2 items, they both state "ready to ship" and it went to packaging. Just checked again and both items still say "ready to ship" but there is a message stating "waiting for customer contact" in place of the "packaging" or what I hoped would have been "shipped". I notice it also says in tiny print: This order may be split shipped if parts of it aren't ready on around 3/5/2018 If you need everything to be shipped together in one package, please open a request. Umm, if both items are saying "ready to ship" why would I have to contact FT - why don't they just ship them and done with it Am I missing something here I haven't placed any orders with FT for ages, is this something new or what - can anyone enlighten me

Can't say it's happened to me toots . . . . I'd just open a ticket against that order and be done with it, rather than trying to fathom the Fasttech mind.

Still a tad hungover from Chinese New Year perhaps. Seriously though as a FT regular I don't recall having that conflict of messages from them.

I'm actually rather intrigued now by the conflicting message so as I'm not in a rush for the items I'm going to give it 24 hours without doing anything just to see what happens I'll report back.

Well, I found out what it was all about. This morning I had an email arrive from FT - the main item I ordered were 18650 batteries and although they let me place the order using Sweden post apparently they can't send the batteries to where I live so I've just had to cancel the whole order as other than batteries all I had on order were half a dozen plastic bottles. No batteries

Although you can save an enormous amount of money from getting your batteries from them I would always err on the side of caution, and would recommend you obtain your batteries from someone who actually test their batteries, that way you know your batteries are going to be safe and they are actually what they say they are, someone like Torchy the battery boy or Fogstar. You'd be paying a little bit more, but for peace of mind I think it's worth it. But these are only my personal opinions of course, and I'm sure that they will plenty who may disagree with me.

Definitely not me for one. Batteries are one of the few things I buy from Uk.

And where do I get hold of this Torchy or Fogstar? I am not in the Uk so it is difficult for me to get stuff sent over here. Most people either just do not send goods abroad or if they do they charge an absolute fortune which is why FT has been so good for me (even with batteries which I have had no problems at all with over the years). I've always ordered authentic samsung batteries by the way.

I apologise toots I thought you lived in the UK and I should of known as you have you location in your profile, unfortunately shipping oversea's may be an issue as many airlines prohibit lithium batteries, again sorry about that.

That's ok, no-one thinks to look at people's location, only the posted message that's why I pointed it out. No harm done, no offense taken

Thanks I'll take a look at these. The Torchy one doesn't deliver outside of the UK. I've already taken a look at that one. I have actually found one on ebay now, it does say they are genuine Samsung ones and they look exactly like the ones I have now. The reviews were good as well, and they post out to Spain at not too expensive a rate which is a bonus. The seller is called powerjunkie-uk if you've ever heard of them.

They also have their own website toots . . . . whether it would work out any better for you to purchase direct? powerjunkie.co.uk/

What about looking on amazon and seeing if you can get any cheaper there
I know we used to buy a lot of stuff from there when I lived in Spain
