Glad you have it up and running, apparently some cleaning between the up and down buttons can help if its juicy they might be a bit stuck? I went to take back plate off myself to check interior and it seemed stuck fast so I got a hold of window edge and the plate flew off, taking screen and its attached ribbon with it! After testing the screen I was shocked but happy it still worked but then I had to set it up with ribbon going through from back to the front and into the clip on dna chip over an hour it took me, using toothpick and ceramic tweezers and about 30+ attempts but I finally got there was so SO difficult as the chip is almost flush to box and there's a lip, and ribbon had to slot under about 2mm from edge, I did it in the end but was almost crying with frustration! I wont be touching my other billet boxes...... ty ill be leaving mine well alone till i have to take it apart then im still wondering how sxk fitted the charging board in as well (yep i was wrong the usb do charge the batt) glad you got it together again

It was difficult enough getting the screen in with just the front cover off... Am now relieved the allen key got stripped on the back cover of mine or I'd have had the same problems!

Thanks, @broadblaster, I may give this a go if I ever have to take it apart again. The site was down when I looked but these look like they might do the job.

Every tinkerer of electronics should have some of that IPA beedee No idea about the pen thingie though Ah, I had not been able to access the link because their site was down, so I had assumed that it was Silicone/Acrylic/Polyeuthethane Conformal Coating (SCC) that @broadblaster had linked to - I already have Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) which I use for lots of little cleaning jobs, it's wonderful for getting off sticky label gunk from juice bottles!, though I orginally got it for cleaning the PC. The pen is a way of applying the SCC which: 'Protects electronics from moisture, corrosion, fungus, thermal shock, and static discharges' - I think the DNA version of the BB already has the chip coated with this or similar stuff, but I've got the 70watt version that does not.

Is it a one application material, or do you need to re-apply it at regular intervals?
And, does it actually do what it says?

Have not a clue, tim. I imagine given that all the materials it is made in (polyrurethane - acrylic - silicone) do not degrade quickly, and there is no friction to rub it off, then it should last a fair while. Have heard others strongly recommend it in spray form for protecting circuit boards and chips from leaking juice, but never tried it - also am now thinking that my problem seems to be leakage into the button housing, which is getting in between the buttons and contacts, so this would probably not help much. Still, my dried out BB is functioning well after a full week of evening vaping - so I'm hoping it will not go on the fritz again.

Normally RTV silicone and apply once, some silicones are not suitable for electronics so don't just slap anything on. And don't cover bits that need air cooling or are temp sensors.
