I’m puzzled, many brands sell a flavour, then the same flavour with Shisha in front of the name (eg shisha strawberry, shisha mango). Innawera do this a lot. I know what Shisha is, and this maybe my ignorance, but is this supposed to tell me something about the flavour?

Not to be confused with the hookah, which refers to the actual pipe itself, ‘shisha’ is the name for the tobacco used within it, generally fruit-flavoured. So it would follow mango flavour is pure mango and ‘shisha mango’ has mango flavour mixed with tobacco. Or it could just be my analytical mind on meltdown **Edit** ’shisha’ is Tobbaco with a hint of fruit flavour Innawera mango is mango flavour Innawera shisha mango is mango flavour with a hint of tobacco (flavour or NET)

The only one i have used is the Inawera strawberry and yeah it has a tobacco hint but it's definitely fruit with a hint of tobacco not tobacco with a hint of fruit.

As one who had heard those terms but never understood the actual meanings before, I thank you for the explanation.

In my experience, the INW "Shisha" flavours have no tobacco notes whatsoever. (unless it's a tobacco of course)
They are a bit stronger than their non "Shisha" flavours, so a % reduction is usually required.
It's just a different line really......

I would agree with Laurie . . . . and I use a fair number of INW's Shisha fruit concentrates, there aren't tobacco notes in them for me, just a richer more full bodied/potent flavour than the standard range.
Largely I use them at low percentages ( 1-3% ) with the same fruit flavour to give that more ooomphage for a tastier end result.

INW Shishas are my favourite concentrates. I use the strawberry at 15% for 2 ladies I mix for but I mainly use them to perk up other concentrates.
Marmalade on Toast concentrate is ok mixed on it's own but with 1% Shisha Orange it's wonderful.
Not a trace of tobacco in any I've used.

Don’t know but I’m not mentioning that word To*#*co again, it’s almost like I used a naughty word. I do add 1-2% of it to my desert mixes to make them more rounded but I can’t taste it either. (Only occasionally, promise everybody)

Thanks folks, my logic went as yours did shiny, but I then I see people using Shisha Strawberry in bakery and cream mixes - hence the question. The only sisha I currently have is the VTA Shisha Mango, which is a nice mango but not at all sweet, so could well be designed with tobacco related use in mind. This would also be good as a rounding sort of flavour rather than a top note. Personally I'm more worried about mentioning Mango with Perpetua about...
