That was more like it today, all three matches were good to watch. I'd have been cheering for Brazil were it not for Neymar, they have a lot of players I enjoy watching, he isn't one. Vile little creature with roadkill on his head. The draw was a fair result in the end. Agree again, BrenD. I think since the Brazilians have been playing in the big European leagues, being bought and sold for astronomical transfer fees and being paid eye watering wages they now seem to be more about niggling, diving, arguing with referees and just being prima donnas. Probably showing my age or wearing rose tinted specs, but the Brazil teams of old just seemed to play far better as a team and seemed to have more of an ethos and looked like they enjoyed playing. Now watch them go on and win it

So are the fans behaving themselves, is the policing working or do the thugs that came out to play in France a few years ago have the sense not to crap on their own doorstep?
Perhaps using domestic football as an excuse to beat it out of each other is acceptable, but they don't want to target foreigners while the country is hosting such a high profile event?
Or have I spoken too soon? Four days in and I haven't seen anything about fans from any nation misbehaving.

BrenD - I saw an article on BBC saying we had 1,000 + fans who were refused travel. Also, the Russian government has made it very clear to their own yobs that world stage/world media = no trouble, or else....

If you like a little flutter and there isn't a red card in the Sweden v South Korea match, stick a few quid on someone getting sent off in Belgium v Panama.
I'm not doubling my money in that sweepstake, the prize will be gone before Tunisia even kick an England player, sorry ball.
Edit: Actually I might do that myself, I can see Panama needing to get quite physical to stop some of the Belgian players.

England could well surprise us me thinks. Here's hoping big time πππ
I've given up hoping with our team, too many past disappointments . . . . expect the worse and if it's better, then celebrate! Well well I wasn't that impressed with Brazil and well done Switzerland π Me neither, thought the score was the right result.
I'd have been cheering for Brazil were it not for Neymar, they have a lot of players I enjoy watching, he isn't one. Vile little creature with roadkill on his head. That made me laugh Bren! They did ghostrider1971 , certainly in my memories . . . . . the golden days of Pele I hark back to, when watching a Brazil game was a masterclass in how to play football with flair, passion and none of the silliness. How I used to love watching their matches, as you just knew that there would be something spectacular and out of the ordinary to see.
Great days they were.
