As the majority of you know, i like custards. I also like as little faff as possible when it comes to buying juice so i swore i would never start mixing especially as i still have almost 11 litres of ready made shop juice to get through.
well, it just had to happen didnt it
after my fantastic custard win from Tony tcg69 i got a thinking. should i, shouldnt i.
well i did.
so this is meant to be only short term and to get a couple of mixes i like that i can keep doing for myself when needed.
to most mixers this will be a piddly amount to start with but ive got to start somewhere so expect quite a few questions flying your way over the next few months.
so what did you get i hear you ask. well 3 orders so far contain: scales
2lites vg 250ml pg syringes with no needle points DOH! pipettes one shot claires ambrosia one shot welsh custard strawberry fields
60ml custardV1 CAP French Vanilla V1 CAP new york cheesecake V1 CAP vanilla cupcake V1 CAP bavarian cream FA vanilla swirl FA Vanilla Custard FA Coconut CAP
Coconut Candy PA Pear CAP
Pina Colada CAP
dulce de leche PA Cake Batter Dip FW Banana Cream PA Banana Cream (DX) PA Whipped Cream PA Graham Cracker PA
Cooling Agent WS-23 just to add to some of the ready made juice that needs cooling.
now a few receips ive looked at need devon cream and the only one i can find is from CCW cupcake world. is this any good or would some of the creams ive already got be ok to replace this as dont want to make a special order just for one flavour.
ive done a few simple ones so far, coconut custard which is rather nice already, pear custard and a couple of clones of killer kustard which are all steeping.
is there anything else which is a must have in the mixing community that ive missed. ta muchly Jim

Not a drama, syringes with no needles MrDJ . . . . in seven some years of mixing I've never actually used one! It's easy enough to decant a small amount into a shot glass ( or similar ) and draw up from that. If you find VG a bit pesky to use because of it's gloopyness - then gently warm the bottle in some hand hot water for a short while, you'll find it much more manageable then.
For concentrates I always use a 1ml syringe ( very inexpensive for a bunch load on Ebay ) pop the dropper top off and you're away without requiring a needle.
CCW's Devon Cream is very good and used widely . . . . also sold rebranded as Chefs Choice at not surprisingly Chefs! Or at The Ecig Shop under their Aristo-CAT CCW rebrand.
VTA also have a Devon Cream, got some, untried as yet:
. . . . to the light side.

thanks Perpetua , much appretiated. i actually bought the vg/pg and syringes before anything else but since i bought some scales on ebay for £7 ive not needed to use syringes at all. DOH! now you linking to it i did just put a bigish order in and just received yesterday. i didnt add the chefs devon cream as i thought it would be different. what makes it worse is bill was £23 so i had to pay postage as well when i could of bought 60ml of devon and be done with it. also on CCW i could see a link for buying one bottle but all multi packs but thanks to your link ill get some from ebay which would be much easier. thank you for the advice.
ordered from ebay. devon cream and one of my fave vapes from drip drop that was dropped banana maple and pecan cookie.

We've all been wise after the event/order . . . . so you're not alone there Jim!

. . . . . it's a slight premium, but the prices weren't too bad I thought if you're only after a one or a couple of flavours. Chefs you would pay £3.30 postage on 30ml bottles and The Ecig Shop £2.50, so a bearable price on Ebay.
Amazon is another place to look for CCW, but that tends to only be cost effective if you've Prime Membership.
Fingers crossed on the banana maple and pecan . . . . . CCW as standalone flavours tend to be on the weakish side, so I won't go any lower than 15% and probably higher if I was mixing it for myself. Have a taste of the neat concentrate when you get it and see how intense the flavour appears to your taste buds.
