Customs Charge; Fasttech £14 goods

Had 2 deliveries in the last 3 weeks and no charges plus the price on packages were both $15. I did read somewhere that they know about the issues and have started pricing packages less then the $20 we used to see.

There is an allowance for a gift and the last time I checked it was £38. Because your package is from a business it is not classed as a gift. The total amount including postage is taken into account when HMRC calculate the charges. The only involvement that Royal Mail or the courier company have in it is they collect the money for HMRC and they have to do all the administration which is why there is a fee from them. Nobody takes into account what happens when an item is refused by the recipient in that Royal Mail has to return it and pay for its return

I placed a few orders with FT a few weeks ago for low value items after I got stung for two parcels.

One turned up yesterday and took 2 weeks and no customs but was under $15

All my other orders with 3fv and efun top have all sailed through and been at my door within 10 days of being shipped.

I don't trust FT enough to order anything more expensive for the moment so I use the other two instead when needed.

Just received four mods from FT. Split the order into 4 separates. No issues.

Mods average cost was $40 each. No cells.

Express e-packet.

I got a package from China today (Not an e-cig thing). I forgot to ask them to mark it as a Gift and less than $19.

It arrived... it says Value = $10 US. Good for them.


It's a £29 item which I've already sold for £75. Call it branching out.

I've used FT, Gearbest, and a couple of other Chinese vendors. I've just not ordered for a few months and don't want to be hit by customs and royal mail's charge. By the looks of this thread FT can't be relied upon to mark the value to one that helps us out.

I think the term they used to use was a spiv lol. I'm after another Zeus single rta but want the none tpd version which is 4ml not decided what colour as yet but keeping one eye on the forums aswell to see if one pops up.
