Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue with the Drop solo PMMA cap cracking.
I noticed a tiny stress crack after the first day and after a week it is close to falling apart. It's the barrel part, the top cap is fine and has not been removed since I started using it so it's either the heat or the tolerance as it is a snug fit to the deck.
Just thought people might want to know before they buy, or if anyone else is having similar problems with theirs. I am using the ss cap now but prefer the PMMA cap and I assume there will be some made available at some point.
Just a shame it has not lasted very long through normal use

Faceache groups are littered with the same complaint. If they're going to make them available to buy then I would hope whatever the issue is will be rectified. Pointless buying something you know is going to break.

Not had an issue with either of mine so far. Long may it continue.

Have used mine everyday since I got it with the PMMA and not a problem, running it at 50 watts with 0.26 ohm fused Clapton

I am running lower, 37 watts round wire 0.38 ohm 3mm ID so nothing mental by any means. I googled it and found nothing but can believe many are having the same problem and good to know that a few of us are having better luck with the pmma. I have the ss closed down to 4 holes and it's not bad so that is something and is still usable at least

Stop dropping it! I only dropped it once because the instructions on the front told me to drop solo

Maybe worth an email to Digiflavor marksixysix, see what response you get from them.

I have a fair few Digiflavor RTA and RDA's which are all excellent so it's only a minor gripe from me but if most are like that, then it will be frustrating for buyers.

Could it be your juice? I had some replacement PMMA Doggy tanks that fell apart when exposed to both Inawera raspberry and menthol concentrate based juice. That's not to say the tanks weren't pants too - just those juices trashed them really quick.

It started showing signs of damage within 10ml of use so I doubt it's a tank cracker juice

I sent digiflavor an email yesterday and got a reply today. I have sent them all the relevant pictures and proof of purchase and scratch and check code as well for what it's worth. They did mention that if they deem it as a defective unit that it would need sending back to them which is not worth it regarding time and money for postage when all I am really after is a replacement of the PMMA cap so will see what they say

Digiflavor got back to me and said that I will be on their list of replacement parts once they have them in. They have said wait time is 1-2 weeks before they get the spare parts for warrantee work in stock so I will have to wait and see now.
