Fancied a popcorn mix and I used to swear by FA Movie Theatre with a little sweetener - had to get a new bottle as my (very old) one had run out. I was very disappointed - seems now to consist mostly of butyric acid, not sure if my tastebuds or the concentrate, has changed. So bad I had to chuck the mix (and I don't normally do that!). So have been on the search for a decent authentic popcorn - have tried both VTA ones, with and without butter, they are OK but don't for me resemble popcorn, the same with the Flavorah, Capella and TFA air popped popcorn, I have the TFA Kettle Corn and will be trying that soon. Anyone have a really great authentic tasting movie type popcorn they have tried?

In a word no . . . . and the one readymade I tried was rather bland for my tastes, so I went no further. But TFA's Acetyl Pyrazine has a ' popcorn ' type flavour for me, perhaps combined with some Graham Cracker/Butter/VC and maybe a little sweetener beedee ?

Good idea, Perpetua , I was thinking of trying some of the ones I have mixed together, but AP might be the answer to making them more like the real thing. If no-one else comes up with any much loved popcorns I have not tried I'll have a go at this, also I wonder if some Cappella Cereal 27 might be a goer... then again, something simple would be nice (for a change) - I have so many mixes I want to try!

beedee this a recipe I made in May, it reminds me of toffee popcorn it takes a good three months to come together. Coffee milk froth (vta). 1.5% Creme brûlée. (Inw). 1% Kettle korn. (Tpa). 3.5% Sugar cookie. (Cap). 3% Toffee Icecream. (Vta). 2% Vanilla custard premium (FA) 3% Sweetner. (Tpa) 0.5% This is not my recipe.
