72mg nic - safe to use

I have around 700ml of 72mg nicotine that I've just noticed was best before end of January this year! I have 2 250ml bottles in the freezer and the rest in a cupboard that I've been using, my question is will it still be ok to use?

Unless it has badly discoloured, or has some sort of off smell, it'll be fine.

And I have used some, opened, that had gone pink. Seems fine to me. No idea what people mean by badly discoloured. The sealed nic is the same as when I bought it. I've never bothered decanting a bit at a time.

Some of my nicotine base that I'm using ( decanted into amber glass and frozen on receipt ) is about 8years old now goodkidd . . . . and 4 of us are still standing!

A question for all you knowledgeable peeps.

I just opened a bottle of nicotine and it smells very much/strong of smoke, its yellow in colour. Bought it pre TPD armageddon. Is this still good to use? Also, where's a good place for nicotine salt?

Depends how you've stored it ultimately bioxx, but unless it's been sat baking in a cupboard - around 2 years is an estimated shelf life for nicotine base not stored in a freezer, just a cool/dark place.

The only way to be certain of course is to make a 10ml batch up and see how it tastes to you . . . . don't forget you're smelling it at it's most potent, undiluted. It's quite normal for it to have oxidized and changed colour in that time if it's not been in freezer.

I don't use nicotine salts, so can't be much help there and I guess it depends on what strength you're looking to buy - anything stronger than what's legal under the TPD I'd suggest google is your friend, there's a reputable Ebay seller who pops up in a search who I've used for regular base.

Thank you for explaining it. I’ve recently started coughing a lot with nicotine juices. I’ll try to make a 10ml mix and see how it goes. It was stored in cool dark place the whole time.
