Depends how you've stored it ultimately bioxx , but unless it's been sat baking in a cupboard - around 2 years is an estimated shelf life for nicotine base not stored in a freezer, just a cool/dark place. The only way to be certain of course is to make a 10ml batch up and see how it tastes to you . . . . don't forget you're smelling it at it's most potent, undiluted. It's quite normal for it to have oxidized and changed colour in that time if it's not been in freezer. I don't use nicotine salts, so can't be much help there and I guess it depends on what strength you're looking to buy - anything stronger than what's legal under the TPD I'd suggest google is your friend, there's a reputable Ebay seller who pops up in a search who I've used for regular base. Thank you for explaining it. I’ve recently started coughing a lot with nicotine juices. I’ll try to make a 10ml mix and see how it goes. It was stored in cool dark place the whole time.
That could be due to a number of reasons . . . . strength, PG ratio are a couple. Other than that I think the base you have ought to be fine, had it gone ' off ' then the smell would likely alert you - again it's quite usual for there to be some ciggy type whiff in nicotine base. But I'd make up a small quantity to be certain.

My normal mixes are VG/PG 90/10 or 85/15. I’m not getting on with too much PG.
I got a bit concerned because I added a bit of this nic to some juices and suddenly couldn’t vape them anymore. I also have coughing problems with anything fruity.

It's not unheard of for people to be sensitive to certain flavours bioxx . . . . it's a process of elimination really to find out which/what triggers your issue. Try making something up with no flavouring using the nic base you have would be my starting point.

Can’t eliminate Passion fruit, I rather run around barking the whole day, love it too much Some people can’t be pleased.

It is more unusual, but some people develop an intolerance of VG. Or maybe going to a lower power vape with higher nic.

I just opened a bottle of nicotine and it smells very much/strong of smoke, its yellow in colour. Bought it pre TPD armageddon. Is this still good to use? Also, where's a good place for nicotine salt? You could try converting some/all to nic salt which, apparently, keeps better anyway.
Add 17g (anhydrous) citric acid to 100ml of 72mg/ml freebase nic. Heat to 90°C for 60 mins, stirring until dissolved. You now have about 110ml of ca. 65mg/ml citrate salt nic.
Mine was really smooth on the throat even at full strength. I have never vaped at anything like 72mg/m of freebase nic before so can't make any comparisons.
Good luck. Hope it works for you too.

I might just do that.
