e-cig vendor at Leeds Kirkgate Market

Not sure where to post this, but hopefully it can be moved somewhere more appropriate if need be.

I was just cutting through Leeds Kirkgate market on my way home today, and out of the corner of my eye I spotted the red devil logo of Totally Wicked above one of the retail units. I only had a couple of minutes to spare, but I went up and had a quick chat with the bloke there. Based on the info on the business card he gave me, he is from "Choice Select", which appears to be a York-based tobacconist. Website here:

Looks like a tobacconist who has decided to do a side-line as a stockist of Totally Wicked products.

Anyway, he asked me to spread the word, which I'm happy to do, but since I don't have any friends who vape, my only way of actually spreading the word is to post on here!

I think at the moment he is just stocking a small range of basic tobacco-flavour juices (presumably TW juices but I didn't have time to check) and some TW-branded tornado and titan kits and related accessories. I'm hoping he does well enough to have confidence to stock a wider range, as I'd love to have a local place I can just pop into to pick up juice, accessories, etc, now and again. But who knows? I guess the stock will largely be driven by what can be sold to passing non-vapers who want cig-a-likes and tobacco flavours. (Then again, I couldn't see any "cig"-like models on show - just the titans and tornados - so perhaps he is confident he can push these successfully on all the folks who say they want something that looks like a proper cigarette).

One slightly off-putting thing was that the bloke seemed a bit too "salesman", if you know what I mean. My initial assumption was that the stall was run by TW and, since I couldn't remember off the top of my head whether TW stock lavatubes, and I really want to try one out, my first question was "Do you sell lavatubes? I have an ego-style 510 but I'm looking to upgrade to some sort of mod, like an argento or a lavatube." He didn't seem to know what a lavatube was, or what the word "mod" meant, and started trying to sell me what I think was a tornado tank kit. (I know I'm only a newcomer to the world of vaping myself, but I'm assuming that any experienced / knowledgeable vaper would understand the terms "lavatube" and "mod".)

Still, no harm done, and I can't blame the guy for trying to sell what he stocks, if all he currently stocks are TW-branded titans and tornados.

Anyway, I thought it was some information worth sharing (although I don't know how many people on this forum live close enough to Leeds to be interested). Here's hoping the business does well and he is able to broaden his range / knowledge of products and provide a handy local brick and mortar source of goodies!

If you had asked him about a 'Torpedo', you might have got a response. That's TWs' brand for the Lavatube.

Ah, really? That's useful to know. As it happens, I did go and check TW's site for lavatubes and I came away thinking that they did not stock them, as I've been working on the assumption that anything fitting the description "lavatube" is bound to be labelled as such.

I wonder how many sales (to people like me: ie, beginners who are shopping for a lavatube on the basis of others' recommendations) they miss because of this potential for terminological confusion? ???

My lava tube is sold as a Vtube from appollo cigs www.apolloecigs.co.uk/ see they sell what would be the origional lava tube, and they claim to sell the only stainless steel V Tube version 2, that's the one i have.
