Now that I've got all my gear I decided that it was time to find out about keeping it in good condition, especially atomisers, which seem to be the weakest link.
I found all sorts from coke to water, blowing etc. etc. but this one caught my attention.
Has anyone tried it, or do you have any tips for extending the life of atties?

Most people try all the methods but eventually come to the conclusion that it's all a waste of time and in some cases can actually shorten the life of your atomisers - they are are consumable items, use them until the performance drops off, then maybe up the voltage until they die off completely. Life is way too short for messing about.........

I put em in a coffee cup and add boiling water. Does regenerate them and not so hard to do.

Yep that will work and is very fast and convenient but if you do not dry them out they will also very fast go wrong too your gonna have a wonderfully clean atty that is fryed so wash in HOT watter but leave then to dry or blow them out whatever you want #James#

I think sometimes consumables is used as an excuse as to why things don't last and to encourage people to buy more. I see nothing wrong with people trying to prolong the life of their atty and some do quite well. I get a little bit sick of our throw away society sometimes but of course its good for business. Ken.

I take your point Ken ..
However atomisers are consumables by design, therefore disposable and sadly throw away .. (TAWA).
Draining them .... blowing through etc. whilst they are functioning may help to improve their life span.
When they die .. TAWA!

BUT just as an additional thought since the items are built for cheapness and not longevity you will get out of them what you put in to them .......so be honest they are built to be disposable UNFORTUNATELY but as I was saying try your best to make them last as long as possible if that's your want James that's my philosophical rant for today

I am sorry that you think I would put an opinion on here JUST to sell stuff. This was my opinion before I was a vendor. I've tried every method known to man and I was just wasting my time and in some cases, shortening the life of my atties. This world is too disposable, it is also too cynical.

Atomisers ARE indeed disposable devices Lisaf01 What next? Suppliers / Vendors .. guilty of using packaging to post their products and leaving a massive carbon footprint by also using the Royal Mail's vehicles to deliver them

BTW not meant as a personal attack on you ..........as you will know it is very difficult to word things to make it sound like it does in your head .....it was aimed in general to the company's that would rather sell that give hint if prolonging the items life even if it is for a short while and IF it don't work and its not any better or less that better at least you have tried
