Surely we can all do something to make this forum bigger & better, to help the vape community and help those looking to quit smoking.

Best forum out there. I think we are just all so used to our own little cocoons now. More difficult to get things etc. No-one has done, bought much to talk about.

I really missed it when I was away working in China - sad to see how much the activity level dropped. Absolutely superb forum with great people Would love it to get back to the glory days

Not to be a Dolly Downer, I hope . . . but things have changed soooooooooooo much in our vaping world over the years since our forum ( and others ) were created.
The rise of Facebook being a major factor, their worldwide outage the other week demonstrated how much a part of everyday internet activity it's become for many people, with that the number of Vendor's who now have their own groups instead of posting in here with news, deals etc.
The equipment we now use is by and large hugely more reliable than it once was, so all the troubleshooting questions we once had to answer have almost disappeared, the availability of kit with High Street outlets has also contributed to our decline - I always use work as an example, the handful of vapers there are all buy their stuff from such shops. It's a generalisation but I'm sure that applies to many who do now vape.
Disposables appear to be the new ' must have ' judging by the number of email newsletters I get from established, long standing Vendors? Having seen one of the girls at work use one, it even tempted me to try one!
Mixing is another area that's been much affected, shortfills/one shots/bottle shots have taken the trial and error element out of mixing . . . which for many has been a huge time saving bonus.
And while all of these things have impacted on forums we should perhaps still celebrate how mainstream ecigs/vaping have become? All those people who are now ex-smokers can only be a positive.
Just for a little trip down memory lane . . . who remembers the Evod?
A game changer for me, I still have some squirreled away in a box somewhere!

This was the 1st forum I found, the 1st one I joined and the 1st place I post when I need to tell people about something. It's so much more calmer, not full of idiots like the other place (ahem) People who are quitting now don't always look on Facebook or join groups as most are banned anyway or can't advertise like they could on here. A possible rename, get the forum up on the ranking on Google for valid information. Get vendors back advertising, make it current. Disposables need banning! Can't stand the things. Nearly every teenager at my sons school has one. I see kids outside a market stall near my shop, selling them to kids (yes I have reported numerous times) and another shop locally is selling 50mg disposables to teenagers too. It's not good for the e-cigarette world. I'm still so passionate about vaping. We need to help educate people, and forums help do that.

Yeah ... well....
A little nuisance thing called covid sorta messed with travel around these parts, and pretty near everywhere else too.
WE have been on a trip or two (sorta) locally - all within our own state. (We've not had much issue with covid here in WA). But interstate trips are still off the cards for a good while yet.

I've had three emails from a vendor in the last week or so trying to flog me an Evod kit for £15.
Not happening!

Hi All
This was also the first forum i found at the begining of my vape journey and quitting cigarettes. 9yrs now, how time flies. AAEC will always be the place that managed to help me and my wife quit the smokes for good, and for that we will always hold fond memories for the forum. I do pop in now and again, but have not posted for year's, hope all are as well as can be with the current turmoil of the past few years, and i will try and pop in more often.
Cheer's

I think, as some have said, vaping is now all about disposables, I can't walk ten feet without seeing one discarded on the ground somewhere, they're every-bloody-where. I'm surprised they are allowed to exist, they can't be environmentally friendly, plastic and toxic metals, non-recyclable, non-rechargeable, they are a disaster waiting to happen.
Home brew juices are a thing of the past for most people with all the easy shot mixers being sold, even though I still have about 500ml in my freezer which hasn't been touched in about 3 years, not even sure its still usable.
I used to come here a lot but then fell out of the vape cloud and landed in a field of tobacco, due to personal circumstances. I managed to catch the cloud again about 2 years ago until the lockdown knocked me off again, now it is 2022 and I am determined to quit.
Been going through my massive plastic container filled with my pre-TPD haul (Can't believe that was 7 years ago), I have so much stuff still in their original boxes, unopened and never used. Not sure what possessed me to buy 15 Juppi and Arymi Gille tanks lol - it has been fun going in to work and having my colleagues be fascinated by my "retro" vape tech, they don't make them like they used too. Back from the days when vaping was a passion, not a convenience.
I opened up a Nebox the other day and with the leak fix I found online it's now working brilliantly, I quite like it now.
Sadly most forums seem to be dying out, which is really sad but I guess different generations want different things. It would be great to have this forum buzzing with activity again though, I can remember when I first joined and I was spending 2-3 each day reading all the new posts because there was so many to get through.
Can the admin/owner of this forum not give it a bit of a update? - if possible, a new modern looking theme/style would be good as it currently feels quite old and dated. Looks fine for me and other long time members, but may be driving new ones away.
