After 28 March 2024, we will be deploying the ASA’s AI-based Active Ad Monitoring system
to actively scan for social media accounts that breach this Enforcement Notice. This may
result in sanctions, including the removal of content and social media accounts.

Thank you for the information MrDJ . . . as depressing as it is.

How quite this affects us as a vaping forum I'm not certain, would we still be classed as ' social media '   . . . additionally unlike maybe some others, we don't have any paid for ads. 

Another question this poses, how would our Vendors be affected - would their posts come under the scope of this ban, as any of their content is actively sought out by members/guests looking for specific information. 

Although perhaps erring on the side of caution I need to remove our pinned Discount Code threads. Many are probably defunct anyway now. 

I'd be interested to know what others think - although 6 days doesn't give us much time for thought!

Im not sure Perpetua i asked the same question on the planet. If i hear anything concrete about private forums then ill report back.

We ARE counted as a specialist site and don’t come under social media if that helps. I think their primary concern has been TikTok and that where most recent violations have come from.
