Interested to know does your other halves if you have one or family smoke? Mine doesn't and has never. My mum and sister do. Dad gave up when we were young after much pressure from my sister and myself Please excuse my nosiness.

My DH smokes which has made all my previous quit attempts very difficult. It doesn't bother me now that I'm vaping although obviously for health and finance reasons I wish he'd stop.
My mum smoked until she was 60 and my Dad until he was 50, but Dad was a kinda part time smoker. My bro gave up years ago but I think my sis still smokes. I also have quite a few friends who are smokers! Oh, and my DD and SIL smoke, i'm hoping they'll stop soon!

My husband gave up smoking 12yrs ago, now and again he may have a tiny vape or if I say taste this. My sister smokes and has no interest in vaping, her attitude is she would rather give the fags up than bother vaping. My brother smokes, he gave vaping a go but is not that interested I dont think, he has some of my old kit and I bought him a nice mikropipe but he never uses it. My daughter vapes but lives quite far from me so we dont often get to try eachothers juice.

My OH has never smoked, but is very glad I'm vaping now. My sisters both smoke and my BIL married to one of them. None are interested in vaping except to watch me doing it, as a sort of freaks circus. Mum gave up years and years ago, my Dad never did, despite intense pressure from us kids when we were younger and he probably died from it.

My DH when he was alive didn't smoke, he hated the smell and was always trying to get me to give up! Mum & Dad did smoke, dad gave up smoking untill he passed away, and mum carried on. She gave up 5yrs ago after being diagnosed with COPD. One of my sis's gave up when she was expecting her 1st and baby sis has never smoked, it left me who still smoked until 4mths ago

My Hubby is the worst kind of EX smoker there is.. you know the ones.. one whiff of ciggy smoke and he puts on an act that would put the stars of stage and screen to shame, he coughs and chokes and splutters and gasps for breath It really is quite moving... It was hilarious last night when he came in from work... there was I puffing away at my skycig.. the act started.. then it dawned on him there was a blue light on the end of my ciggy and no smell! LOL!

Hubby was a very light smoker, he was the one that got me into vaping. My parents never smoked neither had my sisters so i was the only smoker from my side. Hubbys dad used to smoke rollies but due to health issues finally managed to give them up about 10 years ago. Now the only smoker is my daughter

l am the only one in house but daughter does also my bro but not my sis or my son, theory is if parents do kids will follow, not convinced that this is true as some of my friends have never smoked but some of their kids do and same with partners, but then theory's are just that, people's opinions which is fine as long as they respect the fact that just because it is their opinion does not make it the right one for everyone. Sometimes the Goverment Bodies should remember that being in that job does not actually make them always right

My husband smokes roll ups and I inhale his second hand smoke. Nothing on earth would make him give up. My Dad smoked when he was in his 20's but gave up one day and never looked back and my Mum had the occasional crafty ciggie with a friend who smoked and said if I told Dad I'd get a slap. One of my brothers smokes rollies and my other brother used to smoke ciggies and then those big fat strong cigars, until he got COPD. He now has only one third of his lung capacity. He's housebound and can't do much for himself.

I refer to my better half as 'my worst advert' because he half-and-halfs, vapes half the time and smokes half the time. He's done that ever since we got our first e-cigs back in 2008 and for about the first year I was convinced that it was just a matter of finding a flavour that he really loved.
It wasn't, he now has a range of flavours which he adores but continues to half smoke, half vape. I don't criticise or nag 'cos at the end of the day it still means he is only smoking half as many as he used to, which is never going to be a bad thing - although I don't conceal the fact that I'd be over the moon if he were to bang the smellies on the head.
When customers drop round to collect vaping supplies (which happens fairly often) it is far from unusual to get twitching noses and peering around then comments about the fact they can see ashtrays! I just have to explain the situation and hope it changes one day. At least if they are newbies I have the chance to point out that I won't ever tick them off or anything if they come back to the stall and say they still have a couple of fags every now and again - or even every day; they are adults and vaping is a matter of choice. It is most certainly not my place to tell anyone else what they should or shouldn't be doing.
My mother smoked heavily all her life - which is very likely what caused it to end far too early despite beating off cancer three times and surviving for 13 years beyond her first diagnosis. My sister on the other hand never smoked and has always been very anti, which kind of puts the mockers on this notion that children will always blindly copy what their elders do. Patently, this is simply not the case.

We all used to smoke. My parents always smoked, Dad packed in 3 months before he was diagnosed with lung cancer and he then died 6 months later. BIL 1 smoked and died 6 years ago - lung cancer, BIL 2 doesn't smoke , MIL smoked and died 4 years ago again due lung cancer. I packed in on Feb 8 this year, 2 weeks later my friend joined me and she packed in, 6 weeks after after that hubby packed in and now BIL 3 is on day 8 of Champix It makes it sound like i've been on a crusade to get everyone to stop, i haven't it just seems they have all followed suit.
