New Argento

Looking at that the other day, I thought it was quite clever but someone pointed out that it doesn't have the Ego connection like the original argentos

Looks versatile saving people buying a 18350/16340 and a separate 18650 version.

Quite how an extension tube screwed into a base tube to form a longer tube is telescoping is beyond me.. ???

is it not just one top end and 2 bottom ends, giving you the batt options.
and there is no telescope its just as above, or am i missing something.

That's how the very original Indulgence used to work Raggy . . . and that's the form the Argento is based on, this version more so than than the ones we've all bought, with the Ego style connection.

i dont even know what an ego connection is, but what i am saying is there is no telescopic, just a spare bigger or smaller batt holder.
or am i missing something.

Yes, that's what I meant Macca . . . probably didn't explain myself very well . . . this version of the Argento is based more on the form that the original Indulgence had with the 510 connection and the interchangeable bottom tubes as Raggy says.

It's not telescoping in the strictest sense of the word, as the GGTS is, that's what is a mite confusing.

good idea and good price but telescopic is a tad economical with the facts

It depends upon your interpretation of telescoping I think Raggy, more than anything . . . we tend to associate that with how the GGTS works.

But I'd imagine that there other devices with interchangeable tubes, that are also described how this model of the Agento is.

Telescoping is one tube sliding into another..Just like telescoped front shocks of a motorcycle or telescope really..

This is just a series of tubes that can be interconnected to accommodate a bigger battery. So long as buyers understand this and not expect a telescoped arrangement, should be fine. The name is misleading in my opinion.
