It depends on what kind of person you are I guess and there are many that would be dishonest if they thought they could get away with it. Im a firm beleiver in karma and treat people the way I hope to be treated.

There was no way anyway that I was going to stiff him, & added to that his kindness I wanted to tell him straight away that I had got it and to thank him again. But like you said with some people if they think they can get away witness it they will. My OH likes doing car boot sales. She has had people stealing stuff off the table. The worst I saw was in my local chippy when the charity box was stolen from the counter, how low is that!!!

I rarely sign for our packages but as our postie is a friend also it's not a problem, he usually signs it and shoves it through, or the old lady in the corner signs instead and brings it round later if it's bulky.
I would never claim for anything I have received however I have had it done to me on several occasions through ebay and it seems to take forever to re coup the cost from royal mail.

Had a so called friend try to do this to me, tracking showed it as being delivered yet he swore blind it hadn't, he got an awful shock when I drove to Doncaster to find him using the cd player he hadn't received.
That one really p_ _ _ me off.
It just doesn't enter my head to do things like that.

Jason, the last 2 orders I have had from you I've not had to sign for. I'm not sure if that was intentional on your part as they were only small and it's more convenient for me (and stealthy) when the postie doesn't have to knock at the door. I didn't think, in my haste to hide the packaging, to check if they were supposed to be signed for

I would make a terrible crook because I have a huge conscience. If I was nasty enough to try to pull a fast one on a supplier and got away with it, I would never be able to order from him/her again - I'd pretty soon run out of suppliers to diddle. In answer, I'm very honest and never keep anything delivered in error whether signed for or not - I got two whopping pieces of rump steak free from Tesco recently; they were delivered to me in error (with my own order), I rang to report it and was told to keep them with Tesco's compliments. Honesty is deffo the best policy. Fox

I would always contact the seller and let them know without a doubt. Something else that annoys me to put it mildly, is when you lend something and never see it again. I always thought I was a good judge of character and lent a mobile phone to an ex work colleague I thought I could trust. I never saw her, or my phone again. But I learned never to judge a book by it's cover and be wary of trusting others. Sorry to digress.

I have a lot of packages which i should have signed for left for me unsigned,I complained to RM but i would never even think of trying to get another from the vendor for something RM are doing wrong.

I'm sometimes too honest for my own good. A few years ago I bought a heavyish item off an ebay seller for a very low price. When it arrived, I saw that the postage was had cost them £5.00 more than what they had charged for P&P, so I sent them a cheque for £5.00 & note explaining what it was for. Mind you, they never bothered to say thank you So it wouldn't even cross my mind to pretend I hadn't received an item.

This is what I was thinking when I started this thread. everyone on here is honest to the core. it goes hand in hand with the post about how the people on here are great and offer help and support to others on here no matter what the issue is. If only real life was all like this #icon_welldone# to you all.

I contact every supplier after I've received any parcel, signed for or not. I see it as courtesy and also to thank them Every ecig supplier that I've ordered from had been fantastic. As to saying that I hadn't received a package that I actually had, NO WAY never ! I couldn't live with myself if I done that. I'm a very considerate and caring person

my postie signs mine for me to save me the hassle if i am out although i trust all of you guys, this thread has made me rethink that not everyone is trustworthy... i have sent out stuff and not bothered with the sign for option and relied purely on honesty...i guess i should rethink this in future thank you Jason i got my package today and an even bigger thank you for my freeby
