Evening all Just wanted to know how to put a pic on my profile. I promise I wont put a real one of me and shock you all. Also, does it have to be a static pic or can you put a moving one? Ken. PS have not decided what pic to use yet so no rush lol.

Sorry Ken I don't know either but hope to learn from your thread! The only thing I could think of was resizing a pic in Photobucket and pasting the URL link into the modify profile doodah. I'm probably totally wrong though as techmifications are not my forte.

Just a quick answer Ken as I'm not feeling too good this evening.
I'm guessing you mean you want to have an "avatar" under your user name on each post?
If so, you need a to host a photo on photobucket for instance. If you haven't got an account with photbucket - it's free & I can take you through how to use it tomorrow.
If you do already have a photobucket account, upload your chosen pic (sorry I don't think it can be an animated one). Back here, click on either your user id next to one of your posts or click on profile at the top of the board. then click on modify profile. Back in photobucket, Copy the direct link (second one down) & paste it back here next to "Avatar URL:". the max hight & width is 100x100 pixels.
If you or anyone else finds that hard to follow, just shout & I (or hopefully others) will try to go through it in a more step by step way.

Thanks Chrissie and Perpetua. Yes it was an Avatar that I meant just could not remember. I think I had a senior moment. :-[ Sounds a bit complicated but will have a go when I find a suitable pic. Sorry you are not feeling so good Chrissie. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow. Wow it is tomorrow here. Nite all. Ken.

That's a shock Ken . . . . I was correct. Although didn't explain it nearly as well as Chris ( hope you're feeling better x ) I'll have to find a pic myself.

You might regret asking that Chris as I only have several million piccies. Not sure how to post a picture here, do you do it as an attachment or copy the html code via PB into the body of the post. ???

Lol, you sound like me with the pics of my cats You can either post a pic as an attachment or copy & paste the IMG code - 4th one down under the pic in photobucket. (Yes a different code to when creating your avatar).
