Welcome, and though I haven't read the thread yet, I'm confident that someone will already have recommended a Riva (possibly with Vision/Stardust clearomizers). Buy one and never look back. I smoked strong tobacco rollies, mainlining nicotine 40+ times a day for 32 years. Then I got a cig-a-like and thought I might be able to give up. Then I got a Riva with cartomisers and was sure I could give up. Then I added clearomizers to the Riva...and gave up. Finding the right flavour(s) of juice will help, of course, but I can vape any old rubbish if it gives me a nicotine hit. Finding the right kit to give me the hit whenever I need it, with no fuss and no faffing about was the key. The Riva has great battery life and the clearos have good capacity, are easy to fill and you can see when you're low. Together they're a reasonably priced, straightforward alternative to smoking (or pretending to smoke).

Hi Nel and #welcome2# So pleased you're enjoying vaping as someone who already owns some riva/ego batteries and a couple of mods, i still bought the Sky kit for £11, great value with the charger case To me it's a great back up and will be useful for holidays but for good battery life and longer lasting batteries then the ego/riva is the way to go! Jason at vapeescape is putting together a great newbie starter kit at the moment, see here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suppliers&action=display&thread=7529&page=1anything you don't understand, ask, we love helping on this forum

Hi all again,
I spent most of the weekend on the forum, trying to decide what to buy next ! Iam probably going to go for the new riva 1100 kit from vapeescape when it becomes avaliable.
At the moment I have a e -lite with 4 carts which I am refilling with golden Virginia flavour 24 I think, the only pain is the battery doesnt last for long and twice Ive needed a real smoke while waiting for it to recharge !!
Tomorrow the sky cig set should arrive (its at the local depot according to royal mail !!) so Ive got loads to vape for a while.
Im really enjoying vaping with the e - lite, but do get a burning on the lips and thoart as times - any ideas.
Now the next question rather than buy the riva kit, is it worth buying the EGO Variable Voltage Battery, some carts, a couple of vision egos and a mouth piece, works out a little cheaper and I could spend the rest on liquid samples ?? Once pay day comes I can spend a little more !!
Its tough all this vaping stuff, I am trying to convince the wife this is the way forward, but shes still on the rollups !
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately your skycig isn't going to give you any better battery life than you e-lite The main thing to stop the burning on the lips is to use a drip tip - one will be included in Vape Escape new Riva kit. The throat burn is usually due to letting your cartomisers get too dry - either that, or the caromisers have come to the end of their life. Really hope when you get a better kit, that you can convince your wife to convert ;0
