Basic flavour question

As I'm only about 3 or 4 months into vaping, I'm still trying lots of new juices to discover my tastes, and I haven't even started to get my head around the mixological side of things, but I have a question I'm hoping someone might be able to answer.

There are three juices which seem (to my rookie tastebuds) to share a common base flavour (or flavourant, if that's the right term): Griz's Hypnotique, Griz's Lubbly Bubbly, and Mr E's Dew Des Mountain. It's hard to describe the taste, apart from saying it's a very "bubble gum" sort of flavour. In Hypnotique it's very strong and I find it a bit overpowering. (I've tried to like Hypnotique, I really have, but it's like sucking on a car air freshener). In Lubbly Bubbly, I can taste the exact same underlying flavour again, but less strong. And in Dew Des Mountain, it's the same flavour again, but weaker still.

Can anyone confirm if I'm right about this, and if so, let me know whether this specific base flavourant has a name?

(Or am I just imagining it? )

I wouldn't have a clue, I can only say if I like one or not, I can't understand how well people do juice reviews and pick out all the different aspects of the flavours, some people either have amazing little detectors on their tongues or I have none

Double ditto from me as well.

I haven't tried those particular flavours Kuroto, so even if my taste buds were in the same league as yours, which they're not . . . can't help you here.

But, even if you did narrow it down to a specific flavour, it's then finding a flavouring that matches what you're getting.

As with ready mixes, one range of flavourings take on a flavour . . . could well be quite different to another Manufacturer's.

I have noticed that the base notes are the same from various manufacturers..

All Dekang juices, even the fruity ones have a very weak but noticeable tobacco base note..I think they use a base mix of a weak DK Tobacco flavour and build other flavours on top of it, but don't know for certain..

Being a week old newbie, all I'm concentrating on is the tobacco flavour hit, but hopefully I'll get more adventurous.......

I don't think my tastebuds are particularly good, I think it's just that this one specific flavour is very strong and distinctive. If you tried any of the 3 juices I mentioned, I think you'd instantly know what I mean, and you'd easily recognise it in the other two.

Just my luck. Some people win free juice from suppliers in competitions, and I just get death threats.

(Thanks for the info, though. I will take it to my grave. Hopefully several more years from now. )
